    Hey people,

Yesterday I got an s video for my Wii, but i found out that those dont work on a PAL Wii.
However I would really like to be able to use it, and still be able to play my PAL Wii games.
Is this possible? If true, which settings should I apply in Region Changer?

a video or s video? MAKE UP YOUR MIND

Changing the region wont help. Its the PAL Wii hardware that doesn't support it. The best output for a Wii is component (not to be confused with composite) but I assume your TV doesn't support that. Your next best option is RGB Scart, which is a proper scart cable not one of those scart adapters. They don't cost much and are roughly the same video quality as S-Video anyway.

RGB is much better than S-Video. And we've established in his other thread that his TV supports SCART.

His question makes no sense. He's hell bent on S-Video for precisely no reason.

Look dude, you probably just don’t have the tv on the s-video input, on most tvs it should be an icon of a small tv with the letter S in it.
You probably have it on the composite input channel, and composite is basically borked s-video, where the 3 colour pins are connected together which does give you a black and white flickering picture.

So find your remote and push the input switcher button a bunch. It could also help if you tell us which tv you are using.

He's using a PAL Wii though.

I just don't get why he's not using an RGB cable.

But then I have to use splitters. Because the point is that I want to be able to record it with my capture card as well.

My capture card is an ezcap 172 which does have an s video input and a red yellow white input

You're either gonna need an NTSC Wii so use s-video or an RGB/Component capable capture card if you want to use your PAL Wii

I'm stunned you didn't start a new thread.

You can't without some obsolete old pal capture card.

@CrispyXUKTurbo I meant no solution when I don't have to buy anything.
