I really rate Tom Hardy as an actor - Bronson, Tinker Tailor and his BBC series but he was horrifically miscast as Bane. I watched DKR in the cinema once and never again. up there with Spiderman 3 levels of awful, for me.

Registered 4 years agoIs Aquaman Moist or Soggy? The First Reactions Are in!
Aquaman is a big, fun, wild ride. It’s unabashedly melodramatic and over the top with the largest, most ambitious sense of scale imaginable. Parts of it are kind of bad but they are not the majority and, oddly, still fit in with the cartoony tone. 2nd best DCU movie. YEEEAAHH!
#Aquaman is great. James Wan made a really unique super hero origin film, often crossing into fantasy-epic territory, but grounded in family and discovery.
The world is visually incredible. Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry is a total bad-ass. @yahya and @patrickwilson73 stand out!#Aquaman was an absolute blast, from the charm of Momoa's Arthur Curry, to the spectacular visuals to the fun that it was clear that everyone was having. It was exactly what I was hoping for and I can't wait to see it again! I'll give you more details when I'm allowed!
Excited I can now say how much I enjoyed #Aquaman! It's a cool adventure built on some tremendous action sequences and set pieces, with a great hero arc/performance from Jason Momoa as the glue. There's fun world building, and it looks wonderful. A great step for the DCEU.

Registered 15 years agoI've learned my lesson on this sort of thing before. I'll wait for the reviews. -
I avoided all DC films post Man of Steel because I thought it was shite. Though I've been catching up of late, largely down to being on a lot of national express coaches to London on weekends and having free films on their wifi.
So I watched BvS - Which is nowhere near as bad as people make out. Though it is pretty bad. It takes everything I didn't like about MoS and turns it up to deafening, eye bleeding proportions.
Wonder Woman was really good. It started off pretty badly but as soon as the war plot started I was pretty into it. I'd put this on par with some of the Marvel movies.
I think Suicide Squad and JL are next, which look absolute balls, so I'm looking forward to having a laugh at their expense. -

Registered 17 years agoAquaman might be alright. James Wann is a good director.
I think the official reviews are out soon. If they are favourable then I think the IMAX spectacle will be worth.
I'd rather have e DC/WB try and fail then to not bother at all. They might start making good if not great films.
The new Birds of Prey film has an official title.
Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)
I think the schedule is as follows
Shazam
Joker
Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)
Wonder Woman 1984
All potentially good films. Aquaman is supposed to be the new direction so will see how it goes. -
