That was a pretty good tour! Lots of drama and excitement and a great winner.

I missed the Classica on Saturday. Reading about Landa and Bernal's nasty crash, I think I'm glad I did. *shudders*

Gah. It's not the socket fractures but the broken teeth that make me wince.

We're off for a family vacation in Spain tomorrow.
I just found out the Vuelta starts in Malaga with a time trial, followed by a flat stage from Marbella.
    We're staying in Marbella.

I'm about to go and delight the gf and kids with this good news!

    Nice. Hope you enjoy it!

I still aim to drag my family to one of the Belgian classics or a mountain stage in the Pyrenees one of these years- much to their delight!

    :-)

Finding out where the start is and at what time is damn near impossible. You'd think they make this information readily available on the web.

Is it the usual for this one then- Eurosport have the live rights and ITV4 for evening highlights?

Thanks! That was the best source to figure out in the end. Along with a call to the local tourist office.

Yup. Shame about the potato quality on both Freeview and ITV Hub.

    Decent result for Yates today!

    Anyone watching today's Vuelta stage?
Love De Gendt's little action right before the summit a few minutes ago.

Tour of Britain looks so drab in comparison to the European races :D The TV presentation could do with some work too – looks like the interface to PES 2005.

The power of being in the breakaway for Herrada! :o

The time trial in the Lake District was fun to watch today.

The men's and women's MTB Cross-country worlds were on today. They're both available on BBC iPlayer, and both races are worth a watch.

👍 Got to ask though: are they at least a little more exciting than the Euros that were held a few weeks ago? It was very processional…

@askew yeah, the women's race in particular, goes right down to the last lap.

Yates was good today, funny to see him getting so angry with Quintana. I used to like Nairo, but he's become a very boring, defensive, rider. It's like he's too scared to have a go. Either that or he's just not got the kick he had earlier in his career.

Rachel Atherton absolutely smashed it in the Women's Downhill race today as well. Incredibly impressive.

Good to see simon carry his form over to the Veulta. I've missed most of this tour though just been so busy with other things.

I like Enric Mas. I like his tooth smile and his accent. And his cycling ability.

Ha, didn't realise you guys took all 3GTs.
    That's impressive.

I'm pleased for De Gendt that he managed to get the King of the mountain.

Enric Mas does an amazing job of overcoming the wattage penalty of being approximately 77% mouth.
