Funny thing is that the HD7870 I paid €250 for five years ago is still floating at around €200 now, and I can't really get performance that is noticeably superior for under €300. I've been ogling the GTX 1060 6GB for a while now, but the performance differential with that particular card is nowhere near as great my last GPU upgrade from an HD4870.
I only tend to do GPU upgrades when the new card is capable of at least doubling frame rates in a like-for-like comparison, so it's probably going to be a long time until I do a GPU upgrade. In any case, I tend to prioritise a physical console release over a digital PC release now anyway, and most digital exclusives don't tax GPU hardware that much.
I'll be so happy when the Bitcoin market crashes and all these cunts running cryptocurrency mining farms suddenly find that they have nothing more than a load of useless data on their mining systems. Cryptocurrency is the new snake oil.

Recommended price point used to be 300.
If you can get a new one for it for 260, than that's pretty damn decent. -
