Loved sonic racing transformed... although towards the latter stages the AI was stupidly overpowered and rubberbanding was frustrating.

The way that R was highlighted was almost certainly a reference to Sonic R.

Yeah, it did get a bit too tough towards the end. Played fantastically though, and was dripping with Sega fanservice.

Looking forward to seeing more about this one - Sumo should be back on dev duties.

EDIT If the soundtrack is even half as good as Sonic R's it'll be one the best soundtracks in gaming.

"Cheese-tastic" is probably the best word I can think of to describe the Sonic R soundtrack.

In any way, I'm wagering that it'll be a hybrid of R and All-Stars Racing, so a combination of vehicular, airborne and on-foot racing.

I keep meaning to buy Transformed for my kids to play but it never seems to on sale, hopefully it’ll be on sale soon to drum up interest the new release.

I really like the look of cartoony style 3D graphics on current tech, it looks amazing. So looking forward to seeing a new Sonic racing game.

Unless Sumo Digital are involved, I ain't really interested. Since the demise of Bizarre, Sumo racers have been the only game in town.

Try to keep your feet right on the ground.
When you're Super Sonic Racing
There's no time to look around.

On a serious note this is not a sequel so I believe it's nothing to do with Sonic R or All Stars Racing. This could be a new racing experience but no idea yet.

Please let it be a new Transformed! We have had a severe lack of fun/arcade racers over the past few years - outside of anything involving Mario.

I'd love to see a few guys from Yakuza included - a Majima controlled cart would be aces!

Just to point out, people figured out that a new Sonic Racing game was coming because info leaked out that Sumo were working on a karting game.

I bet it's a new Transformed game, except that it will only feature Sonic characters.

Essentially, Sonic R 2 with karts, hopefully good this time. I'll praise its soundtrack before anybody else, but Sonic R was a terrible, terrible game.

So that teaser was shadows car and not the ferrari i wished for.
Will definitely buy this, but i will miss all the non sonic stuff in transformed too.

Still want Outrun 3 desperately though.
