Site looks a lot better on mobile thsn it does desktop.i do feel the forum will be launched into space through.

Only come here for the forum and the odd DF article TBH, sad, I know. But if the forum goes there would not be much point in EG for me.

If the forum ended up going then I doubt I'd be back on the site. It's not a dislike against EG itself as I don't visit any other gaming site either as I can find out news etc through Twitter (and this very forum) faster rather than having to wait for the usual cut and paste job articles all over. I just hang around because I recognise names and actually get a few of the in jokes.

Then again it wouldn't be any loss as I don't generate any revenue for them anyway.

The forum seems pretty insulated from change and I'm a luddite so that's good. Not able to make use of the search functionality or outdated links as it stands though. I can't reminisce on the old days quite as easily, probably for the best.

@rockavitch The news and reviews aren't what they used to be and wouldn't keep me visiting the site. The focus has become too binary - the biggest AAA titles and the pixelart hipster indiewank (that Brighton location shining through, I guess). Note the continued lack of a review for Ni No Kuni 2 - JRPGs aren't big enough business to bring in the ad revenue and aren't trendy enough to excite the beardy-brigade. On traditional gaming site scores, Destructoid has EG beat hands-down these days. The only real USP for the EG main site these days is Digital Foundry, which remains best-in-class. Jelly Deals has some moderate value, mostly because it does have that UK-specific coverage. The walkthroughs are dreadful.

Without the forums, though, the site would rapidly drop from my check-daily list. The better DF articles tend to pick up coverage elsewhere.

A mixture of truth. It works great, but the design leaves a lot to be desired.

I'll tinker with the CSS and see what can be done. The rounded buttons, corners and blends are looking a little long in the tooth these days.

Also, why the big blue banner to return to the front page? I'm puzzled why just clicking the main logo doesn't do that as it always used to.

Hmm, it's probably not cool to say that I would be gutted to see this forum go, but hell, it's the only 'constant' I have left in life.

It has outlived most of my jobs, relationships and pets - I honestly thought that it was going to outlive The Highlander.

The recent charity thread, which was born out of a beyond terrible situation, is proof that this forum is actually much more awesome than we like to give it credit for.

Echoing a few people here I mainly read the DF articles as I'm quite interested in the tech side of things, I don't really pay attention to EG reviews like I would back in the 360 days, especially as I can't tell at times if I'm reading a review or an article. I really like this forum though, it's a strange mixture of cunts, strange people and genuinely funny, nice people

We crowdfund our own website - we have enough designers/artists/butchers/bakers/lovers to make something special.

We can call it something pithy/edgy like...You'reAGamer. Or DianeVickers.net.
