Registered 9 years agoCricket is fucking fantastic, you philistines. I remember listening to the Ashes on the radio, and the commentators spent literally half an hour comparing the sandwiches they had from the catering at various grounds. You wouldn't get that in any other sport.
(seriously though, it's great) -

Registered 9 years agoAlso yeah, the Aussies done fucked up there. Though I imagine that tampering happens all the time, just that the teams are only occasionally caught doing it. -

Smith and Warner step down from captaincy/vice for the remainder of this series.
Think they'll be playing Sheffield Shield for a while tbh. -

Registered 10 years agoLoved the footage of the old geezer giving Warner grief when he was walking up the stairs after getting out, every non-Aus cricket fan around the world wants to be that guy. -

Registered 13 years agoI didn't realise ball tampering could create such an international incident - this is the top news story on the BBC news site, the Aussie PM has spoken at length about it, various cricket commentators are on the verge of tears just discussing it. -

Registered 17 years agoIt’s stoked by the fact that the Australian CC, the management and almost the whole team are such throbbing bellends, so everyone is putting the boot firmly in. -

Warner getting a taste of his own medicine is so sweet - can't wait until they're back over here. -

It's cheating, plain and simple. They're getting absolutely destroyed in Australia too, as they should be. It's going to take a long time for Australian cricket to recover, which (schadenfreude and Warner-bashing aside) should dismay any cricket fan.

Registered 16 years agoAdditionally Australia have been high and mighty and holier than though in recent years, telling others what is and isn’t fair play.
That also adds to the kicking that they’re getting -

But cheating is something else. Whatever you think of the last few captains of the Australian test team - Waugh, Ponting, Clarke, and (until now) Smith - you could be pretty confident that they didn't fucking cheat. I never would have expected it from Smith, but... well, here we are. What a shambles.
