|Anyone follow the NBA? Iíve recently got back into it after not following it for a LONG time. Really enjoyed this season so far. The Cavs Pacers games have been solid and this game 7 looks great. Very tempted to grab a League Pass subscription to watch the rest of the playoffs.|
I don't follow it religiously but generally try to keep up with what's happening in the league.
Really looking forward to this year's playoffs. I've literally just finished watching game 7 of Cavs vs Pacers and wow, what a game.

I miss talking about NBA when I used to work nights https://community.eurogamer.net/thread/114042
I think that thread is the only place I remember seeing Edge_san's name before.

Pacers will be a force next season.
@Edge_san League Pass? I was really struggling to find a live text update site to follow. It was really frustrating. Thought the Pacers might take it after they came back in the third but sounds like a combination of the refs and poor shot decisions screwed them. Shame.

BT Sport app.
Game 7 went right down to the wire, even with a 3 posession lead towards the end of the game it looked like there was a chance that the Pacers might win.
It's going to be interesting to see round 2 - Raptors are going to push the Cavs even harder than Indiana.
Even more interesting is who's going to take the West.
I wish I could get into basketball, but I find it the hardest US sport to get my head around. Love the footie, go each year, even watched some of the draft over the weekend. Baseball started on Channel 5 around the time I was a night watchman during uni holidays so saw me through some bleak nights! Even hockey I can watch and understand, but for some reason bball leaves me cold. Anyone recommend any idiot guides I can watch or anything?

The Presidentís favourite team.
I was a huge fan for 5 years or so, even followed college basketball quite keenly too. Gradually fallen off due to getting burnt out on it and not having the time with work and other interests etc. This season I've not really watched any, even now with the playoffs underway.
The season is quite demanding to keep with tbh and most of the games are impossible to watch live on a 9-5 job in the UK. I still watch a lot of NFL when that is in season though.
Shame really because this has actually seemingly been an exciting season with new teams in the mix and both conferences being more competitive. Will try and catch some of the remainder, especially as this is where the playoffs usually get interesting.
A guy at work says they do some kind of condensed version of games on the League Pass which sounds like a useful option to keep up. Can VPN through Mexico and subscribe for a reasonable price which I might do for next season (or even these playoffs if it heats up more). I do get BT Sports through my Virgin sub though so may have to see what I can watch with that.
I want the Raptors to take the Cavs out but you really canít count LBJ out. Heís still a beast. Would like to see the Warriors take the West but obviously Houston is playing very well right now. I donít know how Harden does it - he looks so ordinary to me somehow.
Nice to have one of the games on before midnight, even if it is the least interesting of the conference semis to me (GSW is probably going to be more one sided but theyíre my team and more fun to watch if Curry is back).
The 10 minute highlights on youtube are really good to kill time on the commute each morning. I used to watch more back when Deng and Ben Gordon were on on the Bulls but dont really 'follow' any particular team these days.
Feel a bit for Toronto at the mo, they just have no answers.
I was looking for an NBA thread a few weeks back and was amazed there wasn't one!
Whilst at uni I got pretty into it, as my house mates played and we had all the 2k games too. Loved the nets with V.C especially!
Think they're doing a weekly podcast nowadays too, if anyone is interested I can find and link it
LeBron was amazing last night. ATG level game from him. Those fade-aways were art.
The fade away push off he did around the 93 point mark for Cleveland was absolutely ridiculous. Heís just impossible to defend against when he goes off like that. And that said the Raptors still shouldíve won considering they went 1 for 15 or some shit in the 3rd.
I like that the beeb have the top 10 plays of the week highlighted regularly on the site. I'm still amazed at some of the stuff those guys do!

I love Basketball. Sadly, I don't follow a specific team any more as the Seattle Sonics are no longer around ( I loved Payton - Schrempf- Hawkins- Kemp)
I'm a big fan of Antonio Davis at the moment but I think he needs to move to a bigger team for next year.

Damn, being a Raptors fan must be heartbreaking. Blowing it in the big games every year, even when they have a home advantage and one of the best teams they've put together. Must be like being a Tottenham fan.
Le Bron's playoff record is ridiculous but it's a bit hard to judge given how poor the East has been for a decade.
Game 3 Celtics vs Sixers... Holy mother of god was that a good game.
Go Sixers! I'd really like to see Simmons and Embiid take it up against LBJ. Then again, I really like Tatum. I just want to see someone take the Cavs out frankly. Lol. I don't even hate LBJ - I just want some competition.
I've been so impressed with Celtics (Tatum & Rozier especially) but saying that... Sixers in Game 4, McConall really brought some energy which has me nervous for Game 5. Cav's are looking ridiculous though. It's going to be tough for anyone to beat them in the East.
I've never watched a LeBron team not make it to the Finals so the fact the East is even as competitive as it is right now is good.
The WCF should be a treat this year.
Frankly, it feels a bit like Houston - GSW is the real final. I don't see whoever triumphs in the East taking either team. Then again the Cavs took it two years back so who knows.
Yeah, I mean the fact that GSW pretty much have cruised their way this far without Curry and now with Curry back and warming up... I can see them being a force to contend with this year. I mean Durant and Curry with Thompson, Iguodala... Their options are pretty hard to comepete with and really flexible against whoever they come up against. Cav's have the Lebron factor and when he's ON he's ON. He can rally his team to deliver and just look at Hill and JR Smith recently... I wouldn't count them out.
I want a Celtics GSW final personally!
Bah. Damn Celtics. Ruined my bracket. On the plus side, Utah went out in the same round so people can't claim Mitchell is the ROY for outdoing Simmons. Simmons has my vote for ROY easily.
