Fallout 4 tempered any excitement I had for the series with it's unrelenting mediocrity, so I'm not massively disappointed by the prospect of some shit arsed pubg clone.

Not sure I could handle it with those janky ass animations.

Giving Obsidian a go ala New Vegas would be good, but unlikely as Bethesda treated them like garbage.

It's an "online survival RPG" according to the front page. I'm sure they must be working on a proper game too?

I remember playing on a custom Neverwinter Nights server, where one of the main rules was that everyone had to play in character. I'd love it if you could enforce that sort of rule for MMOs and the like. Banding together to survive in the Fallout universe might be fun, if everyone were talking like they actually lived in the wasteland. At least it'd be better and more realistic than Bethesda's writing.

Dunno. But anyone who either expects it to run above 18fps or not immediately ping you into space when you brush against the wrong bit of scenery will also be VERY disappointed.

Heh yeah they can't even get a single player only game to run smoothly, imagine what the netcode will look like, especially at launch.

The setting sounds intriguing, it's just such a pity everything has to be online nowadays. Making this a MP game means it's off the cards for me completely.

I don't think it will be battle Royale game (although they might add it if the game is doing badly) It will be a game where you collect resources, build crap, defend the base, repair base and repeat to you are bored. I liked the 1st state of decay and thats more janky than fallout games but in SoD2 it had no real story content (apart from some auto generated missions - which got repetitive)

Some in the comments are crying about "innovation, or taking risk" but there is no innovation or taking risks here, its another jumping on the crowded bandwagon like so many other games

Ha innovation - by using a decrepid engine to copy a mass market trend. Nice one.

Ugh, role playing in games creeps me the fuck out. Will be full of dudes with female avatars wearing bikini's being weird.

Friday the 13th game was bad for that from what I saw, lots of cunts acting out their characters role like the Jock or the nerd etc.
