I just can't trust anything to do with Sony and films these days, if not in the last five years. They have no fucking clue. Stop trying to make Black Cat happen, sell the rights back to Disney and focus on your gaming division. I don't want Miles ruined on some half-hearted DVD release.

I think the fact that I'm commenting on a thread about an animated Spider-Man film on a gaming website forum at 1:30 in the morning means I need to make some changes in my life. Thank you, IronGiant.

Make it happen ;) at least youíre passionate about it..

Iíll give this a chance, getting Marvel fatigue with the live action movies!

Taking my lad to see it next week, 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes gives me hope it's a good un!

Just picked up a couple of the related Lego sets too.. for the boy of course.

Looks Fab, though it does have Nicolas Cage in it, well he's is voicing one of the Characters anyway, so that's not so bad. Hopefully he goes full Mandy

Absolutely brilliant film, went into it not expecting anything but after watching I'd say it's quite possibly the best Spiderman story commited to film.

Loved the end credits scene too.

Every time I've seen a trailer for this (online, and in cinema) it's looks like the frame-rate is really low, like you'd get in some low-budget animations.

Can anyone tell me, having seen it, if this is the case for the movie itself? It really put me off going to see it.

It's a stylistic choice they've made with the animation, so yeah.

Just been to see it. Itís great. 5/7 Spideys would metaverse again.

The animation is really stylised, so although I noticed the low frame rate it doesnít detract from the experience because thereís loads of freeze frame and speed ratchets that work well with the exaggerated character designs.

Also thereís a post credit gag/teaser which makes me hopeful for another and is hilarious at the same time

Yeah I thought that was odd and a little off putting. Every time Iíve seen the trailer at the cinema it was like it was out of sync and I wondered whether it was like that for real.

I saw it last night, the animation didn't bother me though I can see it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea.
The film itself is fantastic though, lot's of fun and very funny.

I'd heard of this but assumed it was being pumped out to Netflix or Amazon or something, didn't realise it was a cinema release. I've also read today that they were thinking of, or trying to, patent the animation style as it's so unique... Is it?

Yes - it looks like a mix of rotoscoping, 3D and traditional drawn animation.

    Loved it. Brilliant.

The frame rate takes a bit of adjusting to but the animation is stunning. Just donít take your epileptic mate

Blown away by it from start to finish. I'm never usually one to wax on about movies but this was easily up there as one of my favourites over the last couple of years and to mirror @ChiefGB , I cannot wait to see it on a HDR screen.

+1 (or +2 as my 7yo loved it too)

I loved the animation, it really suited the comic book feel. Soundtrack is awesome too, one of the best (if not THE) of the year.

Saw this today with some mates and fuck me this was a proper good film. Kinda knocks the majority of Spider-Man films into a cocked hat and I loved the Raimi films and really enjoyed Homecoming.
