Oh I definitely will, but not all at once. As they are so damn good I want to savour them and intersperse them through all the other mostly not-quite-so-good games other people make. Bloodborne is currently having its first playthrough gradually and it is fantastic. Unfortunately it irritates my wife since it is unpausable (understandable as I become totally absorbed), otherwise it would be on every evening!
(Edit:Unpausable for unpalatable, oops)

Registered 4 years agogenichiro, nearly two hours!! Wtf. I bottled it a few times at the end when I had everything under control and three times I was cheated right at the end! Twice on lightening counters that I definitely put the correct inputs on and once on a slice attack that magically hit me as I was jumping on his head. All three of those he was one hit away from posture break.
I could have cheesed but I was refusing to do anything but the in your face style. Such a great but infuriating boss, especially as it's incredibly hard to get any heals in. As always when I did it I never needed to heal and was probably only hit once.
Then cleared mount monk with ease (always found the area so easy Vs most others for some reason). Rooooooooberrtttt. -

Registered 4 years agoIt's way harder simply because you can't summon for help and you can just over level your character. The only way you increase your attack or health is by killing the bosses. You can farm a bit to give you some new skills but most aren't helpful against the bosses. -

Registered 13 years agoI didn’t find it too much harder for the most part as I’ve never summoned on the Souls games
However a couple of bosses are quite tough, one optional and the final boss
Other than that it’s quite manageable overall -

Registered 11 years agoI thought it was initially harder but once you ‘git gud’ at it you feel almost broken strong, I still had trouble with the last boss though. When he pulls that damn spear out it always throws me off. -

Registered 13 years ago@sid92 yeah I’d agree with that, it seems borderline impossible initially but once you understand how important it is to attack relentlessly it becomes much easier
I beat quite a few bosses first attempt with my minimal skills so it’s not too hard for ordinary gamers -

Registered 4 years agoTwo spears, lone swordsman, four monkeys, gun fort, snake eyes, snake god all killed last night with out too much dying/rage.
I'm putting off ape for two reasons, 1 the rage and 2 it progresses the story to the point where the idols get blocked so I'm trying to progress the NPC quests first and get all the anal beads I can.
From looking on Google I can upgrade umbrella to block and attack headless and the purple mage enemies! Need this. Never used umbrella before, my god it's o.p. -

Registered 4 years agoThink this is my 3rd playthrough and I'm realising I've made if hard for myself before. I've experimented more with prosthetics on each enemy and discovering ways to instantly kill enemies I struggled with.
For example the short assassin's with straw hats, axe equals instant poise break. Purple tough shinobi, the combat art purchased from the scale guy equals easy kill. The white monkeys , just use the item that spins them around and back stab. Snake eyes, who were extremely tough now just use loaded umbrella with the prosthetic unlock where you absorb the energy of the gun shot and hit them with it.
I knew none of these simple things during my first runs. Plus I've been spending all spare money on spirits so before sometimes I was low. Think I have nearly 800 now and I consume them all the time.
Can't wait to get the lilac upgrade after getting finger whistle so I can kill headless and the shamens? with ease. -

Registered 4 years agoHonestly fuck the final boss in this. It's by far the shittest, hardest, most long winded boss ever made. -

Registered 4 years agoHaha I've done that before when I first completed it at launch. I wanted to do it properly this time. Took FOUR hours!!!! I somehow did the last phase with only one heal left. Clutch at the end with a lightening reversal, when it ended I felt like I was near a heart attack. Turns out axe was pretty strong in the final two phases after four hours worth of experiments. Went from 550 emblems to about 50. Got the "true" or "best" ending this time. I guess now I do Ng+ and get the shura ending. -

Registered 12 years agoGood for you. I can imagine how satisfying it must be to master the intended play style and parry all the bosses, but the process to get there just feels like torture to me. -

Registered 4 years agoThanks but as it took four hours I'd say I haven't mastered it at all
. Next time I'll just run around again! Less stressful. I wasn't even happy when I did it, it was more relief it was over. -

Registered 15 years agoCongrats!!
That final boss in Sekiro took me about as long, I was determined not to do any cheesing through the whole game, not sure if running around is classed as cheesing, but you know what I mean! I had the same feeling of relief when I finally beat him.
What a game though.

Although that last fight is hard it’s definitely fair. Did you use prosthetics a lot this time around? I didn’t use them very much at all so interested if they are genuinely useful
(I did use the umbrella on the ‘centipedes’ - is that what they are called? Can’t remember now) -

Registered 10 years agoI think the version of Ishiin on the Shura ending was actually a touch harder but that may have been because it was the last boss I needed to do before getting my first ever Plat.
I've done everything I can in this game (as far as I'm aware) and I still think about it regularly; the swordplay is just that good. -

Registered 4 years ago@retro74 centipedes you just need to go.... deflect, deflect, deflect, deflect, deflect, deflect, deflect, deflect...jump jump attack. Repeat one more time, death blow.
.
I used maybe 400 spirit emblems. Tried umbrella, fire, axe but most of my emblems came from using mortal blade attack. I used mortal blade spam to just get phase one done each time very quickly.
I swear when I watch any cheese videos they don't even work for me. After two hours I tried a cheese with the umbrella I'd seen for phase 3&4, worked a treat for the person on YouTube. For me it just broke my posture. There's just too many bloody fast combo sets he has on 3&4. I think 4 is a touch easier because he adds the lightening attack.
Right at the end when he was one hit away from death I dodged backwards into a bloody tree and the camera went mental and I went down to maybe 10% health. I think I started shouting some obscene language towards the TV at a slightly psychotic volume. Then I got the death blow then nothing, no celebration just relief.
Such a bs boss. After that I went straight to headless ape and co and did them first time as compared to that bs issin everything is easy
.
Oh one more thing. The final final act in the game at night I find nearly all of the castle and outskirts total bs as well. Nearly every basic enemy absolutely wrecks you with boss level damage, hp and posture! -

Registered 13 years ago@Bichii yeah I agree about those “easy” method videos. They are just that one time where the AI had a day off for some reason and they’ve captured it on video after about a hundred attempts
I checked them for that ridiculous Owl Father fight and he didn’t behave anything like my version so I did it the hard way

Beaten guardian ape, time to try shura ending!
Edit.
No wait I've got ahead of myself. Still need to goto the village and kill monk.
