Re General, cheers mate. You still have about 6 weeks. The important thing is DO NOT spend money on iron to re-roll. I'm happy I did not do that. Likewise I will not be buying Warden etc. I should unlock him today/tomorrow at any rate.
My resolve will be tested if Sam and Myrrah cost money though.
I'm looking forward to Outer Worlds on Friday, that might hit "Gears time" for a week or two. -
Congrats on General. I'm almost there. I'm wondering how you done it, I'm close but then I ought to be as I've been playing constantly. Well into sixth re-up now. -

I did the 3 dailies...daily! and the free re-roll. I also took advantage of the double star Saturdays and spent around 200 iron on re-rolls. Iron that I was gifted/earned from the game.
I'm re up 3+50 odd I think. I have spent around 18-20 hours in all 4 modes, rather strangely!
This is a major step down from the hours I have invested in the previous games. Obviously it has only been out 6 weeks though. I over 2500 hours played on Gears 4. Gears 3 is even more. -
Ah yeah I spent the free iron on daily re-rolls but it didn't occur to me to do lots of this particularly on weekends with the double bonus. -

Registered 14 years agoI get to play maybe two nights a week currently so... I'll be happy making Lieutenant or Captain by the end of Operation! Tried Escape last night for the first time, interesting... mostly because I was working on the Warden totem (need to find him to kill will be the last thing I do no doubt!). Also tried a couple goes through the Terminator Dark Fate event to introduce myself to the new Horde. Yeah that's a bit different too!
As for re-up, I've done one heh... I've seen someone close to their ninth, that's the highest spotted to date by me. -
Most of my friends are re-up 9 and above, one of my friends is on 14. Saw a guy on 16 yesterday on Master horde. I'm half way through 7.
There's definitely been some tweaking of horde to make it harder. The Swarmacks in particular are harder for JD to just annihilate, especially on Master. Got to the last wave a couple of times now, only to get wiped out on the last wave. -

Because we have been handed a very sup standard Gears game, that continues to dissapoint in almost all areas. I still play it because Gears and I have a crew I tend to play Hill with! but I spend far more time on Gears 3. It is superior in almost every way. -

I post on Gears.com daily now. Hardly any EGers give a toss anymore. I understand but I'm still passionate so like to talk Gears.
I'm playing Gears 3 more than any other Gears at the moment. -

Registered 13 years agoI lost interest after grinding the tour of duty. Captain or lieutenant my max. It wasn't much fun.
I still need to complete the campaign. I was enjoying, but just not playing many games.
Still midway through Borderlands 3, outer worlds, gears 5 and need to play the last ep of LiS2.
Most of my time went into apex legends and burnt me out i think! -

Registered 13 years agoThink i might drop difficulty from experienced to normal soon. Act 2 chapter 4 the swarm rush across the ice at the mine is close to breaking me.
Too many poppers & boomshots for instagib death cheapness rage...
I will try again tomorrow when i am more zen. -

Thank the lord of Gears for that. I'm happy to see him go. I am unsure if it will have any impact at the top of TC. I am concerned for Gears and the future, and that has not changed with this announcement. -
