Registered 5 years agoShame there's no Beta on Switch. I'm sill very much hyped for this! I thought Fusion was a big let down, myself. The difficulty curve was poorly judged and there were far fewer memorable levels.
Im not sure how it'll work without analog triggers on Switch, but I'm sure they'll figure it out. It's going to be great playing this in portable mode. -
I've signed up for the PC beta. Fusion was good fun and the levels well designed, but the theme felt pretty generic and boring. The worst thing for me was the fact that barely anyone I knew played it on the PC so I had no-one to compete with. Gartt and Booped were miles better than me, and everyone else was either crap (no offence...) or on the PS4/XB1.
I still remember the dread when I saw Pete playing Trials HD, knowing that I'd have to go back and try and improve my times or face the enduring shame of being lower on the leaderboards...

Registered 15 years agoI'll definitely be picking this up. Fusion left me cold, I still enjoyed it but compared to HD and Evo I didn't play it nearly as much.
Although I think mostly that was down to not having the huge friend base from the 360. -

Pretty much nailed it, I think the reason I played HD so much was there was a good group of us around the same skill level - it was a great spur to keep replaying & keep improving.
With fusion I'm in the same boat, booped is far out in front to aim at but he's so much better that I think there might be one track where I've beaten his time (not telling what it is
). It's not a bad game but didn't come close to HD or evolution.
I know there's a lot of people asking for cross platform leaderboards but I doubt if it will happen.
Looking forward to the new one anyway, I'm on ps4 as Comrade Pete if anyone wants to add me. -

Registered 14 years agoNot sure about a beta but the technical test was last week, only lasted a couple of days. The demo was pretty substantial and i've played enough (reached about level 11) to know I'll be buying it.
Seems a return to Evo greatness after the (imo) dull Fusion. -
Got my closed beta email earlier today and I've pre-loaded on Uplay ready for Thursday! -
Beta starts today.

Just tried and it runs like shit on my PC (GTX 970). Also seems like it's ignoring the graphics options I change. Definitely a beta! -

Registered 14 years agoTried on PC. Many graphical settings can't be changed in the beta, you can only choose between presets. Runs fine on High for me. (RX 480 here)
But man, the whole thing feels so cheap. The interface and general presentation reminds me of one of those mobile conversions. The two tracks I've tried weren't too bad, but I feel like Fusion actually looked better. -
Much better after installing the latest Nvidia drivers and a reboot, no performance issues. The tracks seem OK but yeah, I'm not sure about the presentation / progression. -

Registered 14 years agoLoads of frame rate issues on the Xbox one (vanilla).
Love the new setting though, hopefully the graphical issues will be sorted before release. Contracts offer different objectives like do 3 backflips or stay in the air for a certain amount of time. It certainly makes replaying tracks more fun. -
Got some codes for the beta if anyone is after them, work on any platform. -
