Thankfully they have Marmite, although other Brits say it tastes differet nut I could never tell.
If you like Marmite, fill a suitcase with the stuff.
Other than that, the first year is always the hardest, simple things like learning and getting set up within new tax regimes can be stressful but you only have to do it once.
I'm making a list of mental trade-offs:
No mushy peas, but butter chicken pies.
No orange squash, but Foxton Fizz.
No haddock, but blue cod, warehou and tarakihi.
No Tommy Robinson, but earthquakes. -

The thing is that they fucking love the Queen over there. -

Registered 12 years agoDo it Quaddy, it's amazing. I'm not sure if you can get salad cream, but I doubt that a nation that has cheese and pineapple sandwiches will kick up a fuss about what goes in your curry. -

I'd love to, but I've just bought a house here. Well, I'm in the stupid process of buying a house here. Plus I'm about 108 and have no connections to the place so I don't think all the salad cream in the world would get me in. -

I am moving from Lincoln, Lincolnshire to Wellington, New Zealand. Technically I'm moving to Lower Hutt, but that sounds (and is) less glamourous than Wellington.
I am actually going to be with my other half, for she is already there. She has twelve kiwis and several tuatara, and she used to be an All Black. -

Yes! I am actually enjoying this. Everything is going except for my best guitar and my little practice amp, a box of my favourite books and the records that I absolutely cannot bear to say goodbye to. That's it other than clothes and a few bits with sentimental value. Fuck possessions.

Although I am very sad to sell my big amp
