You may have moved on but you’ll never get better than holding hands watching sunset over Outeniqua

Other than that, the first year is always the hardest, simple things like learning and getting set up within new tax regimes can be stressful but you only have to do it once.
Thankfully they have Marmite, although other Brits say it tastes differet nut I could never tell.

    I'm making a list of mental trade-offs:

No mushy peas, but butter chicken pies.
No orange squash, but Foxton Fizz.
No haddock, but blue cod, warehou and tarakihi.
    No Tommy Robinson, but earthquakes.

Jesus, you're right. I completely forgot the Tommy Robinson shaped hole that's going to be left in our lives once we leave.

I assume that without someone like him to protect them NZ is one basically one giant Sharia court and that everyone in the population is in an Asian paedo gang, even the kids.

I regularly mock my girlfriend for this knowing full well that I'll be subjected to jokes about the Queen, soggy chips and British weather for the rest of my life.

The thing is that they fucking love the Queen over there.

It's actually what Arron Banks really wants. He doesn't care about the EU.

Do it Quaddy, it's amazing. I'm not sure if you can get salad cream, but I doubt that a nation that has cheese and pineapple sandwiches will kick up a fuss about what goes in your curry.

    @thelzdking

I'd love to, but I've just bought a house here. Well, I'm in the stupid process of buying a house here. Plus I'm about 108 and have no connections to the place so I don't think all the salad cream in the world would get me in.

So many questions after reading the first post.
LzdKing? I thought it was IzdKing wtf?

Where are you moving from? Why?

Are you leaving your other half behind?

I don't understand your first question, sorry Tonka.

I am moving from Lincoln, Lincolnshire to Wellington, New Zealand. Technically I'm moving to Lower Hutt, but that sounds (and is) less glamourous than Wellington.

I am actually going to be with my other half, for she is already there. She has twelve kiwis and several tuatara, and she used to be an All Black.

I read that as twelve kids.

    Good luck though.

Now I've got even more questions. But first I have to get used to reading your name as LzdKing instead of izdKing.

That will probably take the test of my life.

    It's neither, it's "thelzdking". Lower-case "L".

Have you got a Speak'n'Spell, I think you may need it for this particular case.

Yes! I am actually enjoying this. Everything is going except for my best guitar and my little practice amp, a box of my favourite books and the records that I absolutely cannot bear to say goodbye to. That's it other than clothes and a few bits with sentimental value. Fuck possessions.

Although I am very sad to sell my big amp :(
