Hi everyone, I have a small YouTube channel dedicated to gaming and today I decided to create a video about the Family Game, this was the most popular line of Famiclones in Portugal, Spain and pretty much all of Latin America. The console was so popular in fact that it outsold the NES in those countries and I'd thought you'd like to learn more about a knock-off console that shaped a generation of gamers. |
A look at the NES knock-off that outsold the NES

Registered 12 years agoI love your accent. Your video reminded me of going on holiday in spain and buying a 64 in 1 card for my game boy. It had a rubber button to switch games. Highlight of that holiday. -

Hah! I remember those carts. It's amazing the stuff pirates could get away with back in those days.

Registered 12 years agoI think there must have been different laws because in Belgium it was even illegal the rent games.
So in Portugal they sold a fake NES in stores, did anyone buy a real NES? -

Registered 14 years ago@Fake_Blood Very few people. The NES wasn't very popular here. The Master System is the best selling official console here, but a strong argument can be made that these clones were the real winner of the console war here. -
A Nintendo thread over 4 hours old and no Neil Aspinall joke. What's happening?
