    Sister Act.

And I've never even actually seen it. Just seeing the poster for it used to set me off. Oh look, it's Whoopi in a habit! Can you imagine?

Yes. Yes, I fucking can. And that was already more than enough.

But it has Lauryn Hill before she went completely crazy.

Hunger Games makes me irrationally angry as well. Watered down Battle Royale with a dreadful cop out of an ending.

The sequels might be decent but I'm certainly not going to give them a chance after that shite.

    I wouldn't know, would I?
I fully concede this is a somewhat irrational hatred. I can't even remember what else I've seen Whoopi in.
Other than several more sister act posters, I mean.

I recall a while back one of my work colleagues hating Roadhouse. I ripped his throat out next to a lake.

Films that will make me lash out to you for mentioning you like them so much in a conversation:

    Three Billboards

    American Beauty

I guess what they all have in common is that these films patronizingly sell a superficial morality that appeals to bourgeois people.
I havenít seen David Gale and I like American Beauty, but all these films are super Oscar-baity, which is a trait I generally dislike.

Can't think of any film I actually hate. Isn't it a little silly to get upset about some entertainment stuff?

Don't listen to the nonsense on here, no real person can hate Titanic or Forest Gump.

I don't care for Oldboy, Star Wars or Bladerunner which in these parts doesn't tend to go down that well, but I don't *hate* any movie really

Pi was so wonderful, completely mental and had such an amazing soundtrack. RFAD was really riding on the coattails of it, it tried a bit too hard to be cool.

Hamlet (2000) is to this day, the only film I've walked out of the cinema of.

Transformers 2. Literally the worst thing I've ever seen. Literally no redeeming qualities. Terrible story, terrible acting, terrible dialogue, terrible action, terrible jokes.

There are films I dislike but I can generally see the appeal of those. If somebody says they like Transformers 2 I can never trust their opinion on anything.

And, although it's nowhere near my dislike of Transformers 2, I think Nicolas Winding Refn is a a bit shit, and Drive is terrible.

    Another vote for Interstellar.

Also, more recently, both Arrival and Annihilation have been described as intelligent sci fi movies when they are anything but.

@Dirtbox Oh yes, Pearl Harbour really was impressively shit, wasn't it? And not in a "so bad it's good" way.

So was Saving Private Ryan. God only knows what anybody ever saw in that film.

Can I add The Sound of Music?

The one movie where it's socially acceptable to root for the Nazis.

    KILL KILL KILL MURDER KILL.

The beginning and end of Saving Private Ryan are terrific - the middle bloat, far less so.

Speaking of Spielberg, I fucking can't stand, to the point of violence, Hook. It's so fucking, fucking twee.
