    Hey everyone,

    I have a Small Youtube channel dedicated to retro games and today, I thought I'd take a look at what I consider the most offensive 8-bit game ever made: Paradise Café.

    This game has violence, drugs, sex, prostitution and more, all of which in 1985. Seriously, the contents in this game make Custer's Revenge look wholesome by comparison.

    So I thought you'd like to see a side of gaming you probably have even heard of before:

    @H1ggyLTD The Xbox One X wishes it could pull off these graphics.

    I don't even think it's 8bit...

    @SiroccoJetProp

    It was developed in 1985 for the 8-bit ZX Spectru, so of course it's 8-bit ^^

    Is that even a published game? I think its an enthusiast project, though I am not sure what the maker is an enthusiast of; gaming, coding or porn?
    It isn't published, but that's most likely due to the market in launched in

    I think Ship of Doom may have the edge on 8-Bit offensiveness, it's possibly the first game to ever get pulled from UK shop shelves.

    @stika

    Ship of Doom was an early 80s British Sci-Fi text adventure, the protagonist is trapped on the titular Ship of Doom and must escape.

    Of course back in the day people would often enter 'colourful' commands into the prompt expecting the parser either not to understand or be admonished for their language.

    Ship of Doom accepted those commands though, the problem was that the parser accepted commands such as 'rape' and the characters you encountered included a child. The game was published and on sale for months before a newspaper got word of this, Ship of Doom was subsequently pulled from the shelves of retailers like WHSmith.

    I never forgave WH Smith for the Private Eye/Diana thing (back from the days when Private Eye was actually worth reading). The entire country seems to spontaneously lose its fucking marbles and they ban the one magazine that takes a stand against the bullshit.
