Also, Skytree wasn't busy at all, so fuck it, I went there too. |

I remember seeing it from Asakusa but never ventured to it.
Went for a couple of beers in the Asahi Golden Turd building.

Registered 12 years agoYeah, wasn't bad. There's a beer hall on the first floor with a decent selection. I had an Asahi Black and some steak bites. Also tried the Asahi stout, which was very malty. -

Registered 12 years agoCheers! I'm just in Harajuku now, making use of the free WiFi in Starbucks
Going to head to Ikebukuro shortly.
EDIT Apparently it's 35C today. I can believe it.

Me too. Suggested to my wife we could all go at Easter next year, she wasn't having it (we have summer plans...).

Registered 18 years ago@Ror Excellent, thanks. I'll have to hit it up next time I'm there (hopefully it'll still be there, so many of these cool shops in Japan don't last long).
Oh, and enjoy Ikebukuro, one of my favourite places in Tokyo. So much to do.

Registered 18 years agoI think the Artnia Cafe is pretty permanent, but it does change what is on from time to time. Looks like it’s outfitted for TWEWY from the 15th. -

Registered 12 years agoYeah, it's all very Dragon Questy at the moment, with a fair bit of Kingdom Hearts.

Still a ton of FF stuff though.
They also had a small amount of Octopath and NieR stuff, as well the odd bit of Bravely, including Tiz and Ringabel plushies. If they'd have had an Edea I would have come out of there with one.
As it is, I bought a few FFXIV job pins, some blind box FF gacha keyrings, a FFXIV OST, and two Nier ones.
Went a bit mad there today (I went back) as I had money to spare and only two days left. -

Registered 12 years agoSpent my last day in Yokohama, which was quite relaxing after eight days of Tokyo madness.

Registered 12 years agoSo, because I'm an idiot who can't count, I had another day that I'd forgotten about or something. So I went back to Asakusa and had a proper wander about, visited Senso-ji and the surrounding area, had some dango, then went to Ikinari Steak, which was lovely.

Also, I went back to the Asahi building, this time went into the tower, and found the Sky Bar on the 22nd floor. I tell you what, this city is not short on amazing views.

Flight is in four hours. Not looking forward to it D: -

Registered 12 years agoYeah, was great. Not a relaxing holiday though, that's for sure! Well, Yokohama was pretty chill, and Senso-ji was too, really.
Just sitting at Munich waiting for my flight home. Then I have to get back from Stansted. Think I'm just going to be ordering a pizza on the way back, as it'll probably be going on 10pm D: -

I'm heading further south in a week, I might have to stay indoors. -

We stumped up for a fast ticket which seemed worth it... Then it took us an hour to get down from the top FFS! Was told one of the lifts was suspended due to severe winds. Completely took the fun out of the whole experience tbh.

Still hot out there, then? It was 35 when I was wandering around Harajuku and it was just too bloody much.
A shame that your Skytree experience was ruined, Tomo. Did you at least enjoy the view?
Hope you both enjoy your respective holidays!
