Definitely going to be this. Sad to admit but oddly not a surprise in today's gaming landscape.

Watched the trailer a couple of times and I'm still not sure about it. SoR 1 was the first game I ever owned on my own console and holds a massive nostalgic place in my heart. The soundtracks for this and Road Rash (the 2nd game I ever owned) are burnt into my memory.

Would have been nice to have pixel art for the whole game to match the retro characters.

The retro part might just have saved this.

I think someoneís had this idea late in the day and itís fairly easy to implement. Pixel art backgrounds would have to be considered from the start. Pixelating the hand drawn backgrounds with some kind of filter would just look cheap and nasty.

I've just bought the physical version, with steel book case and megadrive style clamshell box. £68.00 all in with shipping. I havent spent this much on a game since the SNES days, but I expect the limited run product will hold its value well and increase over time....thats what I am hoping.

Only trouble is that it will be 2-4 months to ship the game after the digital release.

Yeah, that's definitely sold it for me. Being able to play it with the sor2 track is a massive tick.

I'm guessing they saw the streets of rage remake game and took ideas from that. Mixing different eras, music and character options.

I'm still more interested in the new version of the characters than the inclusion of retro sprites, but it's a nice feature nonetheless.

It's been day 1 for me since... Well, if was first announced.

@kadooosh only overseas unfortunately which pushes the price right up with the shipping. However SOR holds a special place in my heart so I pushed the boat out for this one.

That's the Limited Run release? I've got that for the Switch as well as two clear blue official SEGA Genesis Bluetooth Controllers. I think I'll still get this on the PS4 until this bundle arrives.

Depends if you think it's the best feature. I don't, I think it's a nice bonus.

Only just found this out but on an announcement earlier in the year for xbox gamepass, this was shown as one of the games coming out for it.

Same. It's not why I was going to buy it and will probably have a quick try but ultimately if I wanna play the old games I have many ways to do so.

    Halting site.

If you're gonna have sand in your fanny and throw abuse, at least get your shit straight.
Your a very negative fellow arenít you. Not having a go, just making an observation after checking out all your recent comments.

I think itís great to be critical, but you gotta throw some positivity in there every once in a while.
