I still play this regularly. Have about 120 hours on Steam, 35 on Switch and 45 on PS4. Yes its that good I triple dipped.

Really looking forward to the DLC now. Max looks so awesome, one of my fav characters for sure.
Ive got it on Xbox and tempted to get it for Switch too. Perfect game for the commute, and my favourite game in years. It has a surprising amount of depth and replayability.

Still keen for some more SOR content though.

I'm surprised they don't release more regular dlc.

A lot of the assets are reusable just need some new backgrounds and level designs.

It's surprised me it's took more than a year to release 1 dlc of 3 characters that are already in it (though admittedly they'll be a bit more to it than that)

They're almost definitely working on other projects. I imagine this DLC is being handled by a very small team. As much as I love SoR4 and as grateful as Iam to have DLC, if they're working on other Sega games, I'd much prefer that.

The developer Dotemu are working on TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, which looks excellent so far. I really hope it takes some cues from SoR, in terms of gameplay depth, rather than just being a button masher.

I've really been hoping for some 16-bit levels for SoR4 in the old Mega Drive pixel art style, or just some classic 16-bit SoR 2 levels, or some classic SoR 2 levels redrawn in the new art style. It's probably too much to hope for though.

It just seems odd to me that there are unlockable 16-bit characters, but they're completely mismatched with the new style levels. The short secret 16-bit stages show it's possible to create 16-bit levels in the game engine. I'd imagine it's fairly easy in fact, given the pixel art already exists, and level animation is basic frames. It'd still take a fair bit of time though, I suppose.

This was actually updated on Steam not long ago.

The game no longer gets flagged as a virus by Windows Defender.

It would be glorious, but then when are gamers ever sold what they want?

I suppose companies have to look at the generations who don't have nostalgia for SoR and market to them too, because investors.
