I unfortunately suffer now and then from very bad migraines which mess up my head and make my mood plummet to the floor. Most of the time I'm able to keep a check on myself and be aware it will pass but at rare times I can't. At those times I am not in a good place at all and tend to emoquit.
One of the easiest ways of telling I've got a really messed up head from a migraine is finding myself hovering over the quit button.
Sorry. Don't like adding to any drama here and I kept away a while as I was embarrassed. -

Registered 6 years agoAnd finished. Was pretty good. Really slow start but picks up about half way through episode 3. Found the dinosaur a bit odd though? Maybe it's in the books. -

Registered 8 years agoThe books are full of fucking dinosaurs.
Geralt finds out his parents are dinosaurs in the last book -

Registered 6 years agoThe reviews are looking mixed. Shit story but excellent fight scenes and violence by the looks of it. A lot of toxic masculinity and supernatural incels as well according to the Guardian. -

Registered 8 years agoI have to say, I love the books and the games but looking at that trailer..meh, isn't the trailer supposed to make you want to see it? I'll still watch it later and it might well be decent but purely from the trailer it seems very underwhelming.
Oh, and Cavill is a terrible choice for Geralt. Purely from a physical perspective he's too fucking bulky/muscular and his voice is all wrong -

Registered 6 years agoI've never found the world of the Witcher particularly interesting so I can go in and be content with 8 hours of tits and violence.
It has made me start the Witcher 3 again though. I still think the gameplay is pretty awful but I'm determined to get through it this time. It looks pretty hot in 4K HDR too. -

Registered 8 years agoYeah, I started The witcher 3 again a few days ago. The combats a bit floaty and controlling the horse is as much a ballache as I remember but its worth playing through for the little stories here and there and the writing, I think. And its still beautiful to just wander through the world -

I don't think you could call the Guardian piece a review tbh.

Registered 9 years agoIt's a tricky one because most netflix viewers probably have no idea about who Geralt is, gamers and book readers feel like they know him really well. That makes it awkward for season 1 as they cant make assumptions about anyone knowing the characters. I know it's the same for any adaptation but this is a character with a really fleshed out story across 2 different mediums. I would take pretty with good fight scenes and a decent season 2 setup which by the reviews I have seen seems to be the case. -

Well it's obvious there are different threads, the camera cuts to an entirely new scene; seperate location and characters. I don't think you're being genuine at all!
