Registered 15 years agoI feel for Stones but I’m really not into CBs that supposedly have good feet and can play it out. I don’t want CBs thinking they can do that. It’s not the first time Stone has done that and I doubt it’ll be the last. -

Registered 13 years agoThere's playing it out from the back and then there's trying to beat the centre forward when you're the last man. That's about the fourth time this game. It was bound to happen. -

Registered 18 years agoI think we've been pretty good, just very sloppy at times. If Sancho had scored that header, I doubt we'd be in this situation. -
Needed knocking down a peg or two. We're not as good as we thought we were. -

Registered 15 years agoThat was actually Stone’s fault again. Barkley did not want that pass. Again I don’t want to be too harsh on him as he’s very talented and still young, but his decision making is so poor under pressure. -
Awful. Got absolutely pumped for about 20 minutes in the second half.
The Dutch must have passed it 100 times during one spell.
Just sat on 1-0 lead again like a league one team against man city in the cup.

Registered 12 years agoNot been anywhere near the standard of late. A few decent spells but overall the Dutch have controlled it. Some defensive howlers but not good enough in midfield and overall a bit off the pace. Still, the competition had been enjoyable. -

Complete nonsense. How quickly we forget the state we were in prior to the World Cup. No one is saying we are footballing world power but Christ we are definitely in the best place we have been for 25 years or so. Playing a bit shit or having a shite match after a long season doesn’t mean everything is fucked. And I would rather they tried playing out from the back if the other option is by passing midfield - a skill we pretty much owned on the world stage.
Poor, poor England. They only mustered 4 shots in 120 minutes of football and were unable to pass the ball a few yards. I'm trying to think of another industry where a group of average people can earn thousands of pounds a week and produce mediocrity.
England under Gareth Southgate have yet to produce a footballing performance. It's mostly been goals coming from set pieces. Also, Gareth is incapable of changing the
tactics mid-game when things aren't going to plan. -

Registered 10 years agoYeah despite last night I've not enjoyed watching England since the 90s
It's a young team that will continue to improve. -

Registered 12 years agoIt's alright playing it out from the back when you're surrounded by players who have the best technique in world football, alongside a goalkeeper behind you who probably has better touch than a lot of high-level outfield players if you get into trouble.
But that's not England. I'm not saying hoof it up but there's got to be a happy medium. -

Did anyone put some salt around the thread entrance in case we lose?
