    @dawve30

    Thatís really cool to hear. Crazy to think thereíll be so many youngsters whoíve never even seen Scotland at a tournament yet, will be awesome for them (even if we are getting mercilessly pumped haha).

    She tweeted that last night. Iím pretty sure that was her celebrating taking Jo Swinsonís seat last year though.

    It was, quite weird to see an important politician with a sense of humour and showing human emotion.

    Congratulations to the kilt wearers of the forum. I generally can't stand international football but I have fond memories of Euro 96, so looking forward to doing battle once more.

    You can guarantee that Scotland will play well with England winning in the last minute or two.

    I see an Ireland player has tested positive after the game yesterday, after playing the whole match.

    Of course none of the other players who were on the field playing in the match have to isolate, because rea$ons.

    This. I have two boys, who are 16 and nearly 13. Neither has ever seen Scotland qualify for anything. This oneís going to be special.

    EDIT: itís worth saying that I was born in 1973, and Scotland qualified for 5 World Cups on the trot. The first one we didnít go to was when I was at Uni in 1994 - and even then, we qualified for the Euros either side and the next WC in 1998. It never occurred to me to think that the next chance Iíd get to watch us at a big tournament would be 22 years later.

    @docrob similar here but not quite as decrepit. Grew up getting the 3 group games each competition and was happy enough. Then just over half my life for the next one ffs.
    My boy is only 5 so not really that interested but it will be good to watch with him anyway

    Well, not quite the same and a completely different era, but I'd only just turned 6 during Italia '90 and watching Scotland get papped out of the group stages (whilst still managing to beat Sweden) is probably one of my most formative memories when it comes to football.

    Hopefully your young lad has something better to look forward to here :)

    From an English perspective Scotland are looking fairly decent, they're playing a high pressure game most international sides can't deal with, I wouldn't be surprised if they make the quarters.
