Hi people Can't find a thread for this, which surely is wrong. As you all know the search feature is total toss so there probably is one, anyway for those of you that do not venture onto the front page, you might be interested in this. https://youtu.be/GmVF2tNStTY ACIII free remaster you say, I can go for that. The roadmap also looks good. I was not overly interested in this game due mainly to it looking like a vast expansion for Origins, which while epic was massive enough on its own. Have to say I do like the way this is shaping up now. Also the AC series has upped its game when releasing dlc, used to be total pants offerings. Only thing holding me back at the moment is RDR2 releasing a mere 3 weeks after Odyssey... ti prépei na káno Edited by DUFFMAN5 at 06:23:21 14-09-2018 |

Hi mate
You should absolutely check out Origins, it is generally very cheap to buy now and is a great AC and just great game period.

Registered 14 years agoNow that AC3 is being remastered, that means the entire series is available on current consoles in some shape, right?
The only game missing is AC1 on the PS4 (it's at least available on backward compatibility on Xbox), so I wonder if they'll eventually remaster that too. -

Registered 14 years agoI loved Origins and got Platinum but for some reason am not feeling the hype for Odyssey. Will probably pick it up after Christmas or post Red Dead 2. -

Registered 17 years agoI liked Origins and am looking forward to this. Like the look of the Atlantis DLC too.
But RDR comes first, so I guess I'll pick this up in the new year some time. -

Registered 7 years agoHave to laugh that they present the season pass as if they're proud of clawing at your wallet. As if they don't make enough money. Then with Origins they said they learned their lesson of franchise fatigue, then immediately release another AC game the following year. Then fall back again to say "No, don't worry, we'll support support this one as long as you buy the season pass and the relevant edition- please refer to our spreadsheet

I'm going to start Origins tonight. I know it got some positive feedback but would you guys recommend it? First one I've tried since.... 4? I tried the London one but bored me to tears, as nice as it looked. -

Registered 9 years agoAccording a tweet from Ubisoft, the ACIII Remastered DLC also includes Assassin's Creed Liberation, so that's actually two completely separate games.
ACIII was hands down, no exaggeration, the worst game I played last generation so no interest in that toss but still, nice of them in a way.
So glad that Origins was a return to form for the series. I'm slightly put off of this though as seems to be quite a bit of sea faring which I properly think is balls. Will wait for reviews to see actually how much there is, there was mercifully fuck all of it in Origins and even that little were the low points of the game. -

Registered 7 years agoOk. I'll give it a fair crack. Cheers.
And yeah, I wouldn't replay 3 again if you held me at gunpoint.

Registered 17 years agoYeah, Syndicate was "just another" AC. Origins does enough to make it interesting again.
And Odyssey is a companion to Origins, so it makes sense they've delivered both and are now taking a break again to build something new. No qualms with this approach. -

Registered 13 years agoOrigins had a great world and Bayek was a good main character, but the plot was a bit hit and miss. -
I thought Origins was great, and despite trying to convince myself that I'd wait for a sale, I'm going to be getting Odyssey on day one. -

Registered 13 years agoI'll be skipping this until a sale. I really like the setting but RDR2 is coming and I've still barely played Origins. -

Registered 17 years agoRed Dead means by the time I want to to pick this up, should be able to get it for £25. By which time Rage 3 and Metro Exodus will be out too.
Really need to finish Origins first, the only AC game I've put (way) more than 20 hours into. Great game.

Ordered, courtesy of bing rewards and some already cheap credit from eBay being made even cheaper thanks to Friday's 10% off. Real money cost £59.79 for the game and season pass. -

Registered 7 years ago@robthehermit Sat down with the best intentions on Friday night to play it until the early hours- couldn't get it to load. Didn't manage to get it working until Sunday. Will have a stab at it this weekend. -
I haven't even looked at any footage yet but this is probably going to be the first AC I skip on day one. After buying them all then dropping them after a few days, I think I just have to accept the series isn't for me. I played Origins for a half hour and couldn't get on with it at all, despite all the praise it gets. Wasn't keen on the combat after playing lots of third person action games with superb combat systems.
Anyway, enjoy everyone!

I'm looking forward to it as much as I do any game that I'm interested in. It's probably old age, but I just can't seem to get excited about much of anything these days. I've got my pre-order in and I'm considering booking the 2nd off work to play it so I'm about as hyped as I can be but in terms of excitement it's on about the same level as the elimination challenges on Masterchef Australia and the new series of Alone which started yesterday, which I'll be watching tonight. -

Less another £4.73 cashback via quidco. So now only £55.06. Which in my book makes the season pass free. Result.

Wait, you've bought ALL previous AC games at release despite abandoning them? It can't have taken you this long to realise you aren't that into the series surely?
