This one looks like it's up my street but I've still not finished origins so will have to park it. Origins is ok but this one appealed to me more straight away. Just hope it's not as grindy, bloated and empty as origins. Straight away it looks like a more beautiful place. |

Registered 16 years agoWent for the Gold edition in the end, sold some completed games which bought the price down to £25. Looking forward to it, nice Brucie bonus getting 3 days earlier as well. I think come the end of the month I will be balancing playing this and RDR2. -

Registered 16 years ago@DUFFMAN5 Have you decided which character you're most likely to play as yet? The devs reckon it's about a 50/50 split as to which they choose. -

Registered 16 years ago@mangojoe Nope, it's set 100's of years before the Assassins and Templars were even formed.
To be honest the story of the assassins is guff anyway, it basically boils down to the Templars want to use the artefacts left behind by the space wizards to control humanity and its destiny and the Assassins want to stop them. -

Registered 16 years agoThe modern/future stuff is a direct sequel to Origins, and that's the only part that draws the series together.
Depending on how much you care you may want to play Origins first (it's good anyway, and will be much cheaper once this launches). -

Registered 9 years agoTo be fair in origins you could get all that shit done in less than 20 minutes, as much as I hate it I don't feel it ruined the experience in any way.

Registered 16 years agoSo how many of us will be playing "3 days early"
Is it just the Gold and Ultimate edition that have the play early gimmick.
The only other game I bought that had this feature was Gears 4. That was awesome. I started at 00.01 and had completed the campaign 15 hours later.
I Do not see me doing the same with Ass Cred.

Registered 13 years agoI only bought origins in a sale as I was bored of creed. I loved it though and 100%'d it and all the dlc. However, I am waiting for a sale to get this even though it looks fantastic. Ubi psn sales come pretty fast.
The present day stuff was thankfully tiny in origins so hopefully the same again. -

It doesn't actually say "play 3 days early", but if you look at the listings on xbox.com, the gold and ultimate editions say available from 01/10 and the standard version says available from 04/10.

Playing Origins, I'd kind of like Ubisoft to try a fantasy RPG. Origins is an RPG already and Odyssey looks more so. -

That's not the way they've been marketing the game, the cut scene trailers seem to focus on alexios, not saying it's not true just that if it is ubi seem to be shying away from it. Not an issue for me, picking Kassandra from the moment I saw her.
