There's a fix for it on PC apparently so should be easy to patch I guess.

Really really enjoying this, but for me the co-driver’s timing is bit off for me, compared to the first game. He just seems to dish out instructions too early for me, stacking up corner details way too early.
He will be getting replaced, as soon as I have enough cash, because I think part of it, is his voice.
Really enjoying the career so far.

Can't you adjust the timing of the calls forward or backward? You could in the first.

Thanks for that. I do seem to remember something like that in the first one. Will try it and see.

I watched a few streams last night, Jimmy Broadbents looked amazing graphically then I watched another from a PS4 pro and it looks quite a bit less than amazing. Hoping this is down to the stream quality.

Obviously a maxed out PC will be better but am hoping for a bit of wow like GT Sport is?
    Love it!

Sure the graphics could be sharper than even my measured expectations (on my PS4 Pro ), they are no where near as good as the streams we have all been watching. Everyone seems to be running PC’s ? ‘Super GT’ who from what I have seen is mostly console simply brushed the graphics to one side and declared them amazing was reviewing on PC.

A shame but to be expected ( consoles near end of gen? ) but would have been nice to have an independent opinion on the consoles.

Again though, Love it you soon forget the lowers graphics on console, the gameplay really brought a smile to me and the 2 limited hours I have been able to play have been great fun 😀

Turned the progress bar and timers off, and damn that's an improvement. Only then realised just how distracting it is to constantly check how you're doing against the ai. Now I truly, fully concentrate on the track and my consistency/performance seem to have improved.

On another note, this always online crap can fuck right off. Today, I was unable to repair my car for several minutes because the game couldn't connect to Racenet. In a local championship, mind, not a weekly challenge or whatever.

Pretty annoyed that the FFB is broken, pretty much unplayable for me. They've said they're looking into it on Twitter but I can't understand the good reviews it's been getting when the preferred control method is fundamentaly broken.

The review sites don’t look good, unless they broke it in the release version.

PS4. It's on everything though, it's all over Twitter and the forums people complaining about it.

It must not be a universal issue, I've really had no problems with the FFB at all.

So you can feel bumps in the road and the tires losing traction etc? As no-one else on Codemasters forums or Reddit seem to be able to.

    How does it look, decks?
From the previous comments on how shit it looks, not sure why we can't have this in PSVR currently.

I don't really give a shit about graphics anymore but I can see a few people complaining about the how blurry it is, looks almost 720p on base console. Seen a few people complaining about the resolution on the Pro and Xbox X as well. I can't imagine how low the res would be to get it to run on psvr.

@DrStrangelove Always online is a bit spicy, are you on PC?
Yes. CM say that's "only" in career mode and doesn't affect "free play" modes (custom races, historic rallies), but still it's not something I want outside of online events.

Pretty much this then. I did find the steering really heavy which this video suggests. Didnt notice much issue with the ffb but where ive only used my wheel a few times years ago I dont really know what I'm missing. May wait for a patch then.

If you didn't notice much issue it's going to blow you away when they fix it. At the moment it feels like you're driving on a perfectly flat carpet. Once they actually add in FFB you should be able to feel the contours of the road, the tires struggling for grip, the steering going lighter when you understeer. If there's a demo for Dirt Rally or Dirt 4 give them a go, it's night and day difference.

Aren’t Codemasters quite good for fixing things like FFB issues? I know it should be there already, but at least there is a very strong chance it will be sorted very soon.
Have been on pad so far, but setting it up with wheel this evening.

Few people speculating that the don't think codemasters FFB code is up to dealing with the track deformation stuff so having no road noise or tire slip may actually just be how they intend to have it. If that's the case there's going to be an absolute shit storm for them to deal with. I'll definitely be trying to get a refund as it feels, awful compared to the previous 2 games.

Codemasters are quite good and leaving major bugs in games and moving on to the next game where they may fix that but but they'll probably introduce a different game breaking bug instead.

@Decks Wow yes, I know exactly what you mean. Have just tried it on wheel and it’s awful. The carpet analogy is the best way to describe it. Definitely back to pad until/if they fix that.

DR1 was spot on, surely it’s not that much different, for it to be completely on the opposite end of the scale? Real shame if that is, what happens.

How was this not mentioned in reviews? Presumably this is independent of platform, or is it only on console?

    Crazy if true either way.

It's just speculation at the moment, it may just be a bug. It's on all platforms though. No idea how no reviews have mentioned it, it's just broken. There's better feedback from shitty arcade racers like Gravel then there is from this at moment.
