Yeah some fast times on there.

Also the tuning is fucked on clubs apparently, it reverts to the standard setup after the first stage.
A Codieís guy on GT Planet confirmed this and are looking at it.

I never noticed which is worrying?

Usually set my gearing very short, it was on the limiter for what seemed an age on the straight!

Seems to be evidence mounting that there could be another couple of seasons coming.

@Decks It would be awesome if we got Finland and Greece. I was always rubbish at Finland though, bloody killer trees leaping out at you from all angles.

I think Finland would be a fair bit easier now the cars have a lot more weight. I was always fairly decent at it anyway. Would love Greece. Would look great with the new lighting too, Germany looked great with some of the lighting conditions on that run last night.

Yeah the stage in Greece with all of the fancy hairpins was one of my favourites in DR1. Can't wait for Wales.

Pretty weak turnout for the league so far. I might open it up to randoms if numbers stay this low.

Yeah I'd prefer not to but if we're only getting 5 people finishing it'll be a bit rubbish.

Same here, loved it in VR when your headlights lit up all the dust from your entry into the hairpin.

2 more seasons, this is great. I will pay for it.

But please no more Rallycross, I find that a bit meh

I think most of us are more Rally, rather than Rallycross players so no idea Iím afraid.

It might be worth locking the diffs a bit though, I find that helps me get better grip, especially on tarmac.

I think I'm going to get AIDS from trying to drive these front wheel drive cars in the snow.

Whoa, playing Dirt 1 on PS4 after picking it up on a recent sale. Have been playing with a controller for a week or two.

Finally bothered to get my T150 wheel and stand out the garage and pugged it in tonight. Itís so much easier now! Only on the 1960s so quite slow, but itís made the world of difference. I hardly crashed at all and I felt completely in control.

Donít get me wrong, Iím still rubbish and I canít do harpins, but Iím not crashing all over the place. Huge difference.

I hate FWD, I can't make any sense of it. I'm too slow in a corner, I apply throttle--but then the car stops steering. I let go of the throttle again, it steers again but is too slow. So I always feel like I'm haplessly wobbling around corners, but confusingly my results in dailies etc. seem to be better with FWD than 4WD or RWD, even though I feel much faster with those. Seems like I'm not the only one with this issue.

@IJ regarding hairpins in DR1, you generally have to approach them quite slowly, heavy break leading up to the corner, let off the break and then pitch the car in the opposite direction to the corner and then quickly put it in the direction of the corner. This should help one's speed. Tbh though, the 1960s cars are difficult to get fast around hairpins.

@Mr_Sleep ah the famous Scandinavia flick. Yeah Iíve tried it but failed to do it well yet. Always carry too much speed in I think.

You'll struggle to get any slides going with the FWD cars, it's a lot easier with the RWD and AWD.

Looks like Yamo has set some pretty solid times in Sweden then. I should hopefully have my run tonight.

Sweden is such a weird one for me, sometimes I just glide through and others I spend my time grinding up against all the snow banks.

@Slint1000 i climbed the embankment on one stage, and had a bit of a spin on another, but apart from that I had a pretty clean event. I'm usually rubbish a Sweden, although it is a bit easier to drive in this compared to the first game.

I did stress out and ease off a bit on the fast bits in the later stages, I was sure I was going to clip something and roll the car.

The good thing about Sweden is that if you do clip something and roll, I swear it does less damage to you than other stages. Must be all that fluffy snow :D

Edit: Really need to learn to type properly on my phone. I hate typos, but I keep sausage-fingering my keyboard.

Historic RWD? I thought you were making it easier? I'll be lucky to last the first course.

Hah, yeah, I guess I did fuck it up 😁 Apologies, I did not realise the cars were quite so violent. The whole thing isn't these cars. Only the first event, I think.
