@Slint1000 Cheers, Kopina's the only track in Poland I know really well, I learned it pretty well doing a time trial in the Mini a while back. I'm still surprised I didn't trash it, I came close a couple of times.

If it helps anyone, I tweaked my controller settings based on a Steam post recommendation, and I'm finding it a bit easier to navigate the fast left/right bits on certain courses, my times have improved loads.

I knocked the steering sensitivity down to 90 as 97 was a bit too extreme for me...

Here's a video of my first run in Wales, Bidno Moorland Reverse. I nearly remembered all of the corners! It looks lovely.

I added the cheesy-as-fuck music from the desert stage in Sega Rally to make it seem more exciting

I have a feeling Iím going to like Wales with all that lovely mud and gravel to drive on. Not played it in DR1, so all this DLC is new for me.

I had a look at a video on your channel, that Let Me Hear Your War Cry one. WTAF?!

@mcgeeza ha ha didnít mean that, I usually do the long stage for each rally I am about to do to get a feel for it.

What I was trying to say was the game changes once you start the rally pressure/competition etc.

Finished Poland, just consistently slow. Will work out later but think itís about 2 seconds a km which is quite a lot! I thought I was flying 😀

    Still I beat Decks 😀

I'm shit in the R5's for some reason, just can't seem to get the pace out of them.

I see theyíve messed up the Xbox DLC release again. Itís happened every single time now, itís a bit embarrassing really.

Hopefully theyíll have it sorted by tonight.

Yes, me too compared to others.

I think they grip more than we think but Iím not usually willing to find out 😀

Yeah I don't get them either. I feel very fast but apparently I need to go much faster still and I don't know how. On daily leaderboards I'm always worse with R5 than with any other class.

I actually find them more grippy than almost any other class. More so even than the NR4s.

Probably just have to learn to trust them at speed a bit is all.

    They probably have higher downforce?

As Slint says just having the trust it will grip,

Yeah I do that, I test out the limit and go as fast as I can without crashing. Still I'm way behind.

This sounds like an equivalent to the problems I have with driving in Spain. I feel like Iím driving as fast as I possibly can, but end up with consistently middling times.

I must be doing something wrong there, but damned if I know what it is. Maybe something with how I brake for corners.

Pretty lame turnout for this event. Some of you fucks need to slow down, you're scaring everyone off.

Donít make Decks open it up to randoms people!

I think I figured out what I was doing wrong midway through. You have to avoid driving sideways as good you can. It's better to slow down than to get sideways, as if you were driving a tarmac racing game. I don't like it.

Youíre not kidding, I can almost see the lightbulb switching on half way through judging by your times. You could have at least waited until the end to realise!

Had a so-so run in Aus, couple of mistakes on stage 2 & 3, still good pace. Fudged it on stage 5, rolled, the car and got a puncture towards the end, crept over the line.

Did pretty much the same thing on the last stage, but unfortunately I was further from the end. Decided to limp towards the finish rather than lose a whole minute

Pace was pretty good other than that!

That is pretty much my story, although that minute was from changing a tyre after I hit a gate head on. Not sure how that punctured a tyre but there we go. Otherwise I had a good pace and even beat the doctor on one stage.

Had a bit of a pr**tice this morning while racenet was down and yeah this works. Definitely my least favourite cars now if you have to drive then like that to keep up. Group A next I reckon. After the Group B Wales survival horror bonus round.

Finished, surprised myself I did! Many rolls, lost my lights ( they fell off ) but appeared again for the 5th but kept flickering.

Many heart sopping moments! Including one super high speed half spin on tarmac after a jump.

Until now, I've actually been sliding in the R5ís too. I must try this Ďnotí sliding business youíve been talking about.

Sliding is fun though, so Iím not sure I want to. :(

Iíve had a go on a few of the Wales stages now, in a couple of different classes and itís fun, but it feels like itís got a really steep learning curve. So many opportunities to die in flames.

I probably felt like this about all the locations at some point though, so maybe itís just because itís new to me.

Definitely feels a bit more difficult than I remember, they've made the surface a fair bit more lippy, especially in the wet. I tried it in the Group B's, the survival event is going to be quite something.
