Itís going to be very short if my two attempts round one stage in the Delta are anything to go by. Ouch.

Did some Pant Mawr time trialling earlier today and to my surprise I found all Group B 4WD cars pretty manageable and had almost identical times with all of them. Except for the Quattro which I can't get remotely to do anything I want it to.

God I love this rollercoaster with all its sideways jumps. Best location in DR2 by far.

I'm going to use the Peugeot, I reckon I could make round a couple of corners before dying.

I DNFíd the last Group 4 suicide run, and that was on the USA which Iím pretty comfortable with. Iíd be happy to survive a couple of stages in Wales.

Managed a top spot in Group B RWD, but it was damn close and it's not going to last long.

Nice driving there, you really make that car dance. I didnít even twig that it was RWD until it got to the external replay. Iíd love to be able to drive those things that well.

After playing Wales for hours today (including the Weekly), I did the Australia daily and it suddenly felt ridiculously easy. So smooth, so predictable, so much room for mistakes

Speaking of cheat mode what's the consensus with assists? I have them all off at the moment but maybe that's inflicting unnecessary self harm?

Keep them all off, itís better that way. I do use time control braking though, to help slow down past the finish, but that doesnít really count.

External cameras is technically an assist too, god knows why, but I use bonnet cam. The FOV is not great for cockpit on console, we canít change it like PC users can.

    Nice driving Dr Strange

I recently started using auto gearbox as I was losing too much time finding reverse. Maybe I should map a button on the wheel just for that?

I Will try the Wales stage in the Lancia tonight

Yeah I abandoned H-Shifter pretty quick in this, I find it easier to use the paddles on my wheel, for the same reason. You have to change gears too often to use the stick IMO.

No way Iíd go back to automatic gears now.

I also use bonnet cam and stage finish auto-brake, no driving assists though. I'm not even sure if driving assists like traction control or automatic gearbox really qualify as "cheats", I mean they may make your life a little easier but eventually will prevent you from getting good times.

I don't use the auto slow down, you can get on the next stage more quickly by driving full speed over the line and driving into the nearest marshal or pedestrian. You don't get any penalties once the stage is finished.

Yeah they slow you down apparently.

Edit: The things Doc mentioned obvs.

The stability thing is a pretty big cheat for RWD. ABS helps with locking up under braking. But yeah having them off is the only way to go.

Yeah pick on the poor underdog who hasn't won gold yet. You've got the same trophies that I have! Way to incite people to attack your rivals.

I chucked in some times, all awful but a DNF on the final stage which kinda ruined it completely.

I wouldnít worry too much, most of us have had some horrible accidents, or DNFs, across the events so far. Itís all part of the experience.

Someone linked to a controller config some pages back and I have started using that and it has improved things quite a bit. Thanks to that person, whomever they were.

His times became quite a bit quicker after posting them. So please can anyone refrain from using the cheaty pad settings moving forward.

My cheaty pad settings failed me, I crashed in every stage bar the second on in the USA, couple of punctures n'all! Looks like the good doctor had an incident on the third stage, otherwise he would have been well clear at the top.

Haha yes I noticed that, near the start too, he caught me up though 'cos I'm so rubbish.
