@TheGreenYamo Noticed your inner sadist coming out with the stage picks these last few weeks, threw me from the start and had a nightmare every stage but was good fun and diffent having 3x 7 mile stages to start with.

@mothercruncher keep at it. My best advice is 6 corners are near full throttle, ease off for five, depending on surface 4 corners need braking and lower throttle, 3 often needs fuller brakes and so forth. Think of each corners as a ramp of speed and adjust appropriately.

Also, if it is gravel, turn in a little earlier as there is often lateral movement.

Went into the option menu for the first time in a veeeery long time and realised I hade traction control and some other thing on a low value (1 or 2). I'd been certain all driving aids were off. Set them to off now, the car did behave a little bit different but can't say for sure yet how much difference it makes. It's the same when I start tinkering with tuning, I can feel there's a difference when I'm doing stuff but if it's good or bad I can't tell.

Had a pretty bad start and end on the last stage of the current championship. First I killed some people at the sharp corner right at the start, then at a big jump near the end I was little little bit off to the side at the landing and hit the rock wall, thought I would make it but another bump at the rear left me spinning out for a 35 sec penalty. Lucky me it wasn't a 40 sec penalty :)

I'm back on the wheel and had a little mess about, using paddles for gears and gear shfter for handbrake, I'm useless again with it and mkaing many mistakes, had to drop the difficulty to easy 30 on the colin mcrae dlc earlier.

More likely to be people, that is usually where my car ends up when it goes wrong.

Is there any way to repair your headlights during a race? Didn't want to give up on a night run so I put the game brightness onto max and I swear the co-driver voice sounded like he was trying to suppress laughter the whole course..

@mudskipp I don't think so. You found the only method.

It is nuts that they actually do night races with their headlights smashed in. Rally drivers are nutters.

I have now ordered a bass shaker that will rumble under my butt for a ridiculous amount of money. So every time I run over a bump in Dirt my arse will tingle. Obviously this will make me super fast.

Finished my first championship event thing. Now I've got some rally credits.. is there a car I can buy with lights on the roof that are less likely to get smashed in? I was using the silhouette of the trees against the moonlit sky during a forested New Zealand section!

No, sorry. If there is a night race I try to drive a bit safer in the races prior just to make sure the lights are working. Otherwise you might as well retire from the race!

Turn the brightness up in the graphics menu if it happens again
