My goodness, I came on here hoping to find some clueless wallopers like myself posting down-to-earth times that I can compete with (for context, at the moment my daily times tend to hover around the top end of the bottom bracket). However, it looks like you lot could give Ogier a run for his money.

I'll maybe try the track you guys are duelling on later, but I suspect I'll be off the pace by a country mile.

Incidentally, is it not possible to set up a custom championship with invites, that EGers can post times on, as opposed to just sharing times on the forum? This is my first experience on a DR game, so I don't know how that works.

    @Tetsuo_Shima

Not yet, although hopefully it's coming. In the original game we had several groups running custom championships, which was pretty much where the meat of the game was for me.

Me too. The one big disadvantage of that was that it wasn't cross-platform, so the EG leagues were PC players only. Cross-platform would be super awesome, but it's not something that usually happens. No leagues at all is a big fuck up though.

Probably quite a few like me who have been put off by RaceNet and FFB issues, real shame but Codies seem to have taken the piss a bit by releasing before it was ready.

Yeah there's been an almighty backlash. They've royally fucked themselves by the looks of it. Shame as it really is a brilliant game if you can ignore the shitty bits.

I think Decks was spot on the other day with his comment about the end of the financial year, thatís why it had to ship now. Kind of feel bad for the team, they probably had a nice thing going before marketing and management took some decisions.

Some of the time trials you can tell if EG have had a go at them because the leaderboards suddenly double their entries. We might actually be the most (only?) active community playing Dirt Rally 2.

Tis a shame regarding sales (if it is indeed selling poorly) as it's a great game.

It seems to me like there's much less activity than in DR1. I'd have expected many more entries on the leaderboards, and currently we've got several top spots in time trial. I think that would've been impossible in DR1 even a few weeks into early access. I may be mistaken, but that's the feeling I get.

Did Dirt rally 1 sell well straight away or did it increase sales by word of mouth? Hopefully this does the same if so when they fix a few things

To be fair those leader boards are time trial only, I imagine most people are playing career or custom rally at the moment. Think it was 3rd or 4th in the UK chart last week wasn't it?

I was eager to get this, but I for one am now waiting to hear that they fix the FFB.
I really loved the first one with my wheel.

Seems I was wrong, according to Steamdb it's being played more on Steam than DR1 was back then. No idea about consoles though.

DR1 was this small early access thing though when it launched, this one had quite a marketing push.

I imagine it had quite a long life with the early access, consoles and then VR. This is doing the very opposite though, stupidly high price, missing features and poor word of mouth. If they remove the always online and improve the surface FFB Iíll definitely buy it.

If they released it in an unfinished state to hit Financial year end then Iím lost for words. Short sited to say the least.

If I was deciding it I would make it the stratos on a wet, gravel track because I'm a sadist.

I've already chosen 1.5 stages. Senna, I think you were 2nd this time, so why don't you pick one?

4:39.298 for me in a Stratos. Pretty sure I can get plenty more time off that, but itís pretty hairy. Great course though.

First try was 4:28.785 in the BMW. My current record is 4:06.749 (Stratos). But I will not budge until I have defeated #1. I shall try again tomorrow when I'm (hopefully) less drunk.
