At least in an "any car" challenge the Mini doesn't seem to be 1st choice

Fun on that track though! I'll have a go with group b or something after the masters tomorrow.

3:26.240 in the Mini for me. First time driving the with the full Wheelstand Pro setup. Feels soooo much better than clamped to the table, but will still need some getting used to. Still feel like Iím faster on the pad for now.

My girlfriend had a go on this and Forza with it for ages last night too, which is very unlike her. Seemed to enjoy it though. Her time of 12 mins something on a USA track, that Iíve done in 4mins something, was entertaining to watch :D

Also a very messy 2:58.399 in the R5 Citroen. Really having to turn the wheel like crazy on the track, but fun

Currently at 2:44.410. There's still a little room for improvement, but not much. Think I'll do my final run tomorrow.

That's normal, it needs some time getting used to. In DR1, I needed some 30 hours or so until I finally beat my pad times, but apparently I was really slow there (and my wheel is ancient shit--it's the official Gran Turismo 4 wheel). Most people get used to it much faster.

Oh dear, I can't hope to beat that. But it is my very own fault to restrict myself to RWD I guess. Like a four-wheeled Phaethon my hubris will be my undoing, my self-inflicted tragic fate to perish at my own pad.

...but I digress. Tomorrow I'll try to fuck the stage at about 2:42 in the Camaro but that'll have to do.

Well forget it, I'm driving worse today than yesterday. 2:44.410 (Camaro) is all I can do.

Patch is out. Supposed to fix the blurry graphics on the consoles apparently.

Nothing too exciting in that patch, but there are some small quality of life improvements. I like being able to see which cars in the garage (or shop) are damaged without clicking on them.

Does anyone actually enjoy driving the Spanish tracks? It just doesnít feel like rally to me, with all that needing to grip the road properly like a boring standard race car.

The asphalt in Monaco is just so much more fun because it lets you slide around a bit, but doing that in Spain just makes me slip straight off the track.

I'm not that fond of the tarmac in either dirt rally game. It's ok for a change but the loose surfaces feel a lot better.

Yes, but that's in part because only few people do it in the Rally GT class. I actually lost time by my rear breaking out 3 times. Dren is one of the top players, you're less than 3 seconds behind, that's pretty impressive.

Anyway, I just uploaded my video:

Well real life rally has many more tarmac tracks actually, but yeah. Even though Spain isn't bad, I clearly prefer gravel tracks. That's why I really play a rally game. Monte is nice because it's so tight and it also has snow and ice.

Nice run, clearly a different game in that beast. Requires a lot more finesse for sure.

Also cross platform names would be nice as it's just 11 Dirt Player's ahead for me.

Ah ok. The Spanish guy on 2nd place (PC username Dren) can regularly be found on top spots with often incredible times.

Xbox is pretty much populated by, Dirt Player. Shame they can't show the names.

Iím on Xbox too, but you probably donít see my tag due to being a tiny bit higher in the leaderboards than I generally am.

Itís GDPR thing apparently. Basically An Xbox player hasnít signed their consent for PlayStation and so on, so their names canít be displayed.

Yeah I was pretty impressed they even do that TBH.

Noticed another nice thing about the patch - when you save over a tuning, it doesnít automatically erase the name youíd given it. Iím easily pleased.

    Nice run!

I couldn't resist some more runs as well, got mine down to 2:26.022. Have recorded it but I will try and get under 2:26.
