Yea 4th episode was the weakest. Surprising as the last three were pretty good.

The only big problem I had with episode 4 is that Mando, with all his high tech gadgets and experience, didn't think it'd be pertinent to do a single scouting mission to see exactly who they're facing against? I mean they saw the AT-ST tracks, but then they just left.

Surely a little recon would have gone a long way, and hell he could have even lobbed a little grenade thing inside it undetected like he did eventually anyway after the AT-ST fell. Imagine if he scouted the bad guy's camp, climbed up to the AT-ST (empty I assume, unless some of those guys sleep in it 24/7 just in case), blow it up unseen, and slipped quietly but quickly away.

I kept thinking back to what someone else said; about how this series is like a live action video game. Episode 4 was like a mission that you had two ways of doing, stealthy and sneakily or just go in guns ablazing. Mando settled for the latter, which seems odd for a character who's profession relies pretty heavily on subterfuge.

Episode 5 best yet for me. There's something really straightforward, innocent and 80s about the show. It's kinda refreshing. Wouldn't mind a little bit more over-arching plot to carry across episodes though.

@Nanocrystal I really enjoyed the latest episode, but probably prefer episode 3.

I think the issue with an overarching plot is it needs far more episodes in it than one season can offer to properly develop baby yoda.

Where's a good place to stream this then?

My uncle Owen is a dirty old paedo ex miner and he asked me to find out for him. He's not legally allowed a Disney+ account due to some weird incident at the Eurodisney 25th anniversary weekend that he says is total and utter bullshit.

Yesterday’s was better than the week before but it still seems to be losing momentum. Wish they’d stop filming action scenes in the dark though, not easy to watch on shitty streams 🤣🤣

Dare I say it but this all feels a bit... naff.

It's not a patch on your average Netflix/prime tv series.

I think you hit the nail on the head, there. To me it seems a bit like a comic strip more than anything. Nice little largely self-contained simple stories. This and Rogue One appeal to me a hell of a lot more than the new trilogy.

I think it has heart and charm - not the sort of description one would expect from a Star Wars spinoff.

Only the first 2 episodes into this and finding it quite dull to be honest. Dull and brown. Starting to tire of the REMEMBER THIS moments already.

I think it’s got weaker as it’s gone on so going on what we’ve had so far, I can’t see your opinion improving.

That's a shame. First episode was a solid opener. Set the tone well. Second episode was just him getting his stuff back after being fucked over by some bull thing and Jawas. And a lot of grunting.

Agree 100% on the 80s vibe.

For me it's got a bit of an A-Team approach to its characters and the action.

It's not what I was expecting but it's OK to fill some time.

Baby Yoda merch is already super hyped online but not available until June 2020?

That's a weird decision that might backfire. Right now it would sell out, in six months the Hype train will be a long way down the track.

Slows down the likelihood of spoilers for those markets that don’t have plus atm like uk I guess, although cats probably out the bag by now.

If I could crochet I would be cashing in right now.

I genuinely think you could make a few thousand quid online. Though I have no idea how long it takes to crochet a toy so...

I take that back, there's hundreds on sale already.

Lol, they are in danger of it all turning too cutesy, i get he’s highly marketable though.

The last two episodes are a slog with far too much filler, fan service and awful acting. I hope it picks up over the last few episodes.

I'm guessing they'll shoehorn Bobba in at some point.

Wouldn't Boba Fett be in his 70s or something by now? Retired or dead?

Unless the Sarlaac regurgitated him he's very dead.

I'm sure this is set only 5 years after ROTJ.

There’s no way the feet at the end belong to boba, it will surely be this imperial played by the dude from breaking bad, he’s not had a look in yet and there’s only 3 eps left to develop him. In fact development beyond mando and boda is non existent.

Yeah deffo what you said. It's Gus.

This got shit quick. She's no good to us dead. FUCK OFF!

The first episode held such promise, I mean, I knew we were being heavily manipulated, but the atmosphere was spot on. The end of the last ep, could have gone dark. T'other merc could have taken the kid, stripped mando of everything, including his helmet and left him fucked in Mos Eisley.

    Instead, we get A-Team bobbins.

Very much this for me too. Never the biggest Star Wars fan but loved Rogue One, and this has a different, but still excellent, feel. I'm enjoying the simple, direct storytelling and atmosphere. Not a Jedi in sight, perfect.
