I think the Star Wars Rebels animated series (which other people have told me is really good, but I couldn’t really get into) had a female mandalorian character. So that’s been done. |

Registered 8 years agoThink this could do for Disney+ what Breaking Bad did for Netflix, where people take out the free trial just to watch it, and then forget to cancel. By the time they remember, something else comes on that’s quite diverting, and so on. -

The first season is pretty fucking lame but after that it really gets good. Solid Star Wars

Registered 8 years agoThis does continue to look fantastic, hope they keep it gritty. But Star Wars is for the kids so who knows. -

Yeah. It’s so weird that he has that reaction when he’s been nothing but a background character in the mainline series. His appearance was the “Oh shit!” highlight of the trailer for me.

Registered 18 years agoJust occurred to me if they changed it from being 88 as they realized how fucked the world is right now and didn’t want their flagship show for Disney + to find itself in anyway appearing at Nazi marches. -

Registered 8 years agoOh really? I totally missed that. Or that it had any neo-Nazi references. Last time I think I saw him featured in anything was Shadows of the Empire on the N64. -

Now when can we get D+? -
Yeah it looks fantastic. Surely it's going to be streaming somewhere over here? I really can't be arsed with pirating anymore. -

Did they retcon parsec?
Bravo.
Looks okay, not a star wars fan but a series about an intergalactic bounty hunter appeals. -

Looks ok. Werner could be great or terrible. We'll see. -

I've watched the films and I have an opinion on them. Sorry forum police. -

Registered 11 years agoYeah, Pedro Pascal. He was in that low budget scifi thing on Film 4 the other week too. Prospect. He's a decent actor. -
He was great in Narcos -

Registered 17 years agoHoly shit that looks good. Looks far more interesting than the films. Jesus, 'TV' is absurdly high budget these days.
I had zero interest in getting D+ but this is a compelling reason to do so. Hmm. -

Registered 15 years agoI would look to get D+ for this alone. I get the same vibe from the Mandalorian as I did from the Rogue One trailers and I really enjoyed that film.
It looks like it is unburdened from all other story telling and so can be its own thing. There looked to be 2 or 3 different stories in the trailer.
I liked the look of the aliens and all the secondary characters and it all just looks so light and nimble. Amazing that they can do this for 'TV'
If i do manage to get D+ it has the added advantage of all the other films and series in one place - I've not managed to see Rebels or Clone Wars and want to introduce my boy to them. Then theres the Wanky Nobby series too... -

I do wonder if Disney have some new kind of super encryption with the kind of money they are throwing into this channel. But then they do have ALL the money in the world near enough these days.
