@TechnoHippy Had to laugh at the commanding stormtrooper 'charge, charge into the encoming fire men!"

Encoming? I think that's what Nexus_6 does a few mins after the music starts.

Going to be an epic team up in the finale

Cara, Greef, Boba, Fennic, Ahsoka, Bo Katan and Co., Mayfeld, Vanth, Wolf, Trapper. Then maybe some badass Jedi (recast Luke?) shows up when the rescue mission takes tragic turn (RIP Boba), laying waste to dark troopers then epic showdown with Moff Gideon. Mando gets Slave I? Can't wait!!!

There was a part where they go to a Mandalorian Titty bar.

Yeah that was ace! Lots of plot development and it may have been episode 6 of season 2, but it felt more like episode 5 to me!

Brilliant episode. I feel more use of the stun blaster setting could have saved the Empire a lot of grief given the Stormtroopers' continual shitty aim.

    Good episode.
Didnít appreciate the robo-trooper right enough.

Liked ER womanís mecha belly but donít really remember her story which is a good reason to go back and watch the first series again.

Itís really nice to see all the design that goes in to things. The transport ships were so utilitarian but also so cool.

Hah, I thought it might just be me - I watched so much ER back in the day that the character will always be Dr Chen in fancy dress.

Enjoyed that. My biggest WTF moment came when I realised that the Dark Troopers are literally the same Dark Troopers from the first Dark Forces game.

Don't tell me Kyle bloody Katarn is going to turn up! :D

Boss Logic poster of Sebastian Stan as Luke. That could be great casting if they did that.

Would be helpful to put some explanation text and hide the URL behind a massive advance spoiler warning on that image beasty... 🙄

What spoiler ? It's a fan-made bit of art based on wishlisting and rumours as far as I googled.

No idea who the guy even was until searching.

Just finished S1. Enjoyed it though it was a bit hokey in places. Is S2 better then? Praise seems more universal than when S1 was new.

S2 is more consistent for me. Not sure it has hit the high of the second episode or how s1 finished, but none of the episodes have felt (to me) as dull filler like a couple of s1.

Yeah, I thought the first season sagged in the middle with a few filler episodes but finished pretty strongly. This season seems to have been more consistent overall, even if it's generally just been a string of guest appearances by extended universe characters.

    "They're back"

So, when did they go away ? Thought the whole EU vibe that the series was aiming for was shattered remnants of the Empire throughout, guys like Gideon holding out with the forces they had ?

Hence the New Republic space cops and mentions of trouble still ongoing.

And just bin the stormtrooper wac-a-mole already, tiresome already. Getting out of the cantina in the S1 finale should've been pretty easy going by this form......And the darktroopers. Lmao. Chinese knock-off Iron Man suits.

Same as S1 then, great western themes then pandering to the REFERENCES audience by the end. But I'll admit that Boba was cheesy fun, and happy to see Burr return.

Been loving S2 generally, but last night's was easily one of the best shows of any series I have ever seen. Loved it from start to finish. So mush that I watched it again 20 minutes later.

The whole show has captured the feel of Star Wars perfectly for me, more so than the last 3 films. It's got its own vibe, but when the more traditional elements (ships, stormtroppers, Jedi, Boba) appear they just gel perfectly. And the production levels are sublime.

And I really like the structure. The western influence is obvious but the self contained episodes make it feel more like The A-Team or Knightrider than something like GoT, just with a bit more of an overarching story. And I care about the bigger story, but love the detours.

Maybe that's part of the appeal giving it that nostalgic feel, but I look forward to finishing work and watching it with a beer every week.

Rodriguez was perfect for the last episode too, quality action and superb pacing. If I was Kennedy I would put him and Favreau in charge of the whole franchise from now on.

The writing is just as cheesy, but I still watch for the production values. As long as you are ok with it being as deep as a puddle it is serviceable.

Like you, don't quite understand the overwhelming praise, but people like what they like and it's churlish to deny that, especially during this shit year.

I think part of it may being a reversion to simple childish comfort that I kind of understand. I got the same Saturday morning picture show vibe from the Hans Solo film, even half good Star Wars tends to elicit that.
