@Khanivor Maybe I have an untrained eye, but for me one Mandelorian helmet looks like the others, so didn’t pick up on the tease clearly. It wasn’t until Slave-1 turned up I connected the dots.

And you can’t argue that there was little fanfare. He just turned up like he’d always been there.

He was given a whole "Oh my God look how badass Boba Fett is" scene. What kind of fanfare are you talking about?

    @GNS1991 What?

I said as much the other day, though to be fair he was a complete badass in the extended universe (novels, comics etc) that Disney junked.

Fairly sure he had his own game at some point? Or am I misremembering?

I mean, his sole moment of action in the entire original trilogy is being yeeted into the sarlacc by a blind man thrashing around with a stick.

He was badass because he looked like a fucking badass.

Easily the best sci-do costume of all time. Looked so damn cool and had so many elements that hinted at so much that a young mind could turn into the ultimate bad ass

It took me a while to realise it was Fett and not some fat bald guy who’d nicked the ship. Plus the badass scene was with some kind of staff/mace thing he’d never used before in any film or even non-canon appearance. No brand recognition. He didn’t feel like Boba - he could have been anyone.

It’s like if Luke Skywalker came back at the end but was dressed in a tutu and beat all the droids to death with a rubber hose.

He was flying Boba Fetts ship, played by the guy who played Jango Fett, asking for his Boba Fett armour back. Not sure how much more they could have done to let you know it was Boba Fett other than having a flashing BOBA FETT sign over his head while a brass band followed him playing the This is Boba Fett song.

And yet as comebacks go, it sucked. You could have not had Boba in the story at all and it would have made next to no difference. His role could have been filled by anyone.

Ahsoka Tano’s entrance was better... and I have no idea who she bloody is.

Star Wars fans are hard to please. Goddamn them casting someone else as Han Solo that isn’t Harrison Ford. Goddamn them using CGI for Luke. Goddamn them having Boba Fett comeback who’s fat.

Absolutely - and that’s why Fett was in The Mandalorian imo. It was a way of establishing the premise for the Book Of Boba Fett series and not going in to it dry.

Remember years ago a Fett series was always talked about and then nothing and then Mando came along? We all thought that was it but it’s just a way to branch another story out.

There was a game that featured his father, Jango.

Jango went toe to toe with a proper bad ass Jedi, and was beaten after being trampled by that massive beastie. It wasn’t a terrible end.

The beastie that trampled him also broke his jetpack ignition. Just before Windu reaches him you can see him pressing the ignition button and sparks coming out. He was about to fly off...

I'm surprised she's lasted this long. She was posting pretty funky stuff during season one espeically around trans and far right bullshit.

Imperial war museum has a holocaust exhibition going on that has some similar points. That holocaust museums/memorials, including the main one in Israel one (can't remember name but I have been), focus on very dark tones etc and the message "it could have happened to you". The IWM one points out "It could have been you doing it" noting how many "normal" people were involved, not nasty nazi soldier stereotypes. The round up of Jews and other groups was not done in the dark, it was done in the light.

But otherwise, yeah, not sure that was the point she was making.

But... she’s right? Weren’t Germans taught anti-Semitic views in school? Didn’t the government essentially turn everyone against Jews.
Maybe I’ve picked something up wrong here, but what’s so controversial about what she said there?

She's using it to try to make a point about not hating Trump supporters.
