Registered 3 years agoI once got put in jail for trespassing. It was a fucking dreadful time until I remembered that I had come second in a beauty contest a couple of times and I had the prize money on me. I paid the parole and I was on my way. Also I am a pewter top hat -

Registered 15 years agon 1972, I was a part of a crack commando unit that was sent to prison by a military court for a crime we didn't commit. We promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, We survive as soldiers of fortune.... -
I once stole some basement dwellers creative works of which I cannot say too much of at the moment & I was made an example of & sentenced to 3 years & 3 months. Judge wished me peace & good luck. -

Registered 16 years agoI killed a furry.
The police didn't agree with my assertion that it was legal to kill vermin. I was unjustly detained at her majesty's pleasure. She gave me no pleasure at all. -
Not sure why I've never been arrested - but one night a friend and I were clubbing in Chelmsford and had no money to get home. So we went to a police station and tried to be rude enough for a night in a cell but not to cause them any issues. my friend gave up and rang his mum, at which point they instantly arrested him, then his mum turned up and drove me home. -

Registered 3 years agoThe noise would do my head in, that and sharing a tiny room with another man. In fact the whole prison thing doesn't sound like my cup of tea. And yes I realise saying something like that would get me killed on the first day. -
Been arrested a couple of times.
The last one was a doozy.
Took on a job as a catering assistant even though I was a chef by trade because I was desperate for a Mon to Fri job to co exist with my singing work.
The owner of this business, a company that provided sandwiches to companies and to yacht owners was excited by my experience and my intstagram and created a role for me. My remit was to improve standards and increase productivity.
This was my remit. However he didn't listen to any of my suggestions and only wanted someont to vindicate his recipes. They were shit. And in no uncertain terms I told him that I could do better. In a respectful way, but assertive.
As the first week went on he went from my best friend to a bitter, angry man. It came to a head when he ordered me to cut the prep for coleslaw with a mandolin. A mandolin without a guard.
So I went about slicing by hand to the same grade that the mandolin was set to. He came back out of his office, saw what I was doing and had a go at me. I lost it a bit because this was after a week of wondering what the fuck he wanted out of me. I was supposed to be a consultant, I had far more experience than him and I felt I was being underutilised. I told him that firstly I am not using a piece of equipment without adequate PPE and secondly I was slicing it to the same standard so it was a moot point.
He called me into his office for I had obviously embarrassed him in front of his staff.
I told him I quit because he was being irrational, unreasonable and unprofessional and I was baffled as to what my remit, as a fully qualified chef was. I should have known I'd find it difficult to come down from chef, a chef that has done every role in the kitchen and every type of service and cuisine to this role but I had no idea it would blow up so badly.
Anyway he followed me out of the office and lambasted me in front of his whole staff while I gathered my things, embarrassed.
He got close to me and I just so happened to have my 8 inch chef knife in my hand.
I told him to 'shut the fuck up' and pointed my knife upwards, in what could be perceived as threatening, but not explicitly.
He gave me a get out by asking me if I was threatening him with the knife and I said, more calmly than I felt: 'Nope, but I will if you don't get out of my face.'
I walked out and then a police van and several police cars pulled up to me and bundled me in. Outside a fucking primary school no less!
So I'm processed and held and they realise that this was all bullshit. He had no witnesses willing to come forward even though the whole workforce saw everything and they eventually let me go after 9 hours in a cell. I was lucky because in my mind I had realised that it was only the week after the knife man in London had occurred so I was concerned I would be made an example of.
It turns out it happened for the best, I was offered a mental health worker and I've been seeing a psychiatrist for a year now and finally very close to finalising a diagnosis for bipolar. I'm now at uni studying music and I'm leaving chefing behind. Turns out chefing is hell for people with mental health issues.
I successfully sued the owner of this business for refusing to pay my wages and I have since heard from ex employees and chefing agencies the extent of his charlatan nature. He has form with not paying wages or fees and is taking another voluntary insolvency. His karma will catch up with him.
Sorry for the long post but it's rather cathartic as that was all extremely stressful! -

Registered 8 years agoI once ran away from a police officer who was giving chase. My mate and I darted down an alley, then up a small embankment half way down, a cross the road and up into a small "secret" /secluded wooded area we (the local youth) often used as a place to hang out and drink/smoke pot.
My heart was beating so fast, but the cop never found us.
I was 17 at the time I think and had been round a guy I knew getting high. He had a major temper problem and lost the plot whilst I was in the kitchen. He smacked my mate in the face and put his arm through the glass of the front door, badly slicing his wrist.
We ran to his brothers house to tell them he had gone bonkers. We went back to the original house kto get my mates weed) after the bleeding bonkers man turned up at his brothers house screamingand bleeding in the street.
It was as we were leaving the house via the back alley the cops arrived and gave chase. -
