I like to give the NPCs nicknames.
    Like 'Fawkes' and 'Ror'

Completed every challenge on Hawke's Bay except the sniper one, which I can't do until I get a certain mastery on Miami apparently so pleased with that. On holiday now for two weeks, then back on it over Xmas, wahey!

    What a game!
I am looking forward to unlocking a silenced sniper rifle.
I think I either need to go back to Paris, or progress on to one of the further levels.

Yeah I'm tempted to hammer through Paris again myself. Only completed Hitman itself in full back in July or so and I'm so up for playing through the whole thing again. Unbelievable stuff.

I certainly appreciate the ability to hide your sniper rifle inside a briefcase.

Had a bit of weirdness in the PSN store last night.
I tried to access the Patient Zero legacy content. The game (correctly) told me that I don't have it so took me to the store. The option that I was presented with was 'GOTY Legacy Pack Upgrade' for 7.99.
Seemed a reasonable price so I bought it, however I can't get it to download.

Weirdly, there's another option to get the Patient Zero content that costs 15 but I can't really see the difference.
Do I contact Sony or IO Interactive to work out either how I d/l or ask for a refund..?

Played Mumbai for the first time last night. So impressed by the level of detail and the scale of it all that I got kind of lost, in a good way. Got the other hitman to do the jobs for me which is a nice inventive opportunity.

The bizarre multiple ways of buying the content has really fucked it up IMO. I had similar issues where I pre-ordered and downloaded the Hollywood Plutocrat Edition and yet when I got around to playing it I had to download individual levels again...

The legacy stuff is really weird. If you had the original Hitman then you need to download that before it'll let you import stuff in, but if you buy the full legacy pack then it'll download it from within Hitman 2. Go back and check your Hitman 1 install, user Alastair, you might have to install Patient Zero there for it to show up in 2.

Having watched some of the cutscenes where we see 47 as a child has made me hope that the next game allows us to play as 47 during his younger years. How fun would it be to set up accidents around the orphanage/training centre? Like Home Alone but with genuinely harrowing levels of physical violence.

Could call it Hitman: Ages 4-7.

    Santa Fortuna challenges clear..
Some of them were pretty convoluted.
Most I would never have worked out without help.

I got 100% on Santa Fortuna yesterday as well.
    The replay value is awesome!

But yes, some things are impossible without help. I love how I somethimes try to copy speedruns just for the fun of it, and never ever get it as perfect as the guy in the Video. never.

    Now Mumbai

Have you done the Santa Fortuna escalation?
Took me ages to find the machete!

I don't remember having the same compulsion to get all the challenges in the previous game.
I know I didn't do the Vampire Magician (?) stuff in Paris.

I definitely spent longer on each level with the first but that's down to the episodic release schedule maybe.

I have to say, overall, the game feels a lot more lightweight in terms of base levels than previous Hitman games, despite the levels being big

    Really? In what way?
Took me a while to find the hippo, and then to do the challenge to drop all targets in there..

That grid that comes up at the end with all the challenges properly makes me want to do them all!

Very nearly done on Miami now (I've been away), think I'm level 16 so hopefully can bang out a load of progress tonight.

In the last Hitman game I found the challenges just annoyed me. Feels like grind. I just play the story missions and move on.

Mmm, you're kind of missing most of the game if you only do the story/guided missions.
E.g. missing the hippo in Santa Fortuna

I also had a quick go at Holiday Hoarders.
Need to dedicate more time to it in order to unlock the Santa suit.

Hitman: Blood Money and Absolution have been remastered and are being released together on Jan 11th.

Never played them, but I'm assuming my love for the two recent iterations means I'll enjoy them??

Yeah they are very much two different types of game.

Blood Money was fantastic, I hope the 'updated controls' means a relatively good shift to gameplay (and, ideally, NPC behavior) dynamics similar to Hitman modern, otherwise I imagine it'll feel a bit shit if all you're used to is 2016 onwards

Massively looking forward to Blood Money, meant to bring the PS3 one back with me at Christmas but forgot so this is very welcome news.

Can anyone help me understand how the legacy content works? I've got the Canadian PSN version of season one. Presumably if I downloaded the UK version of Hitman 2 I wouldn't get the legacy content, but the Canadian version would work? What about if I got the disc version?

Or is it not really worth worrying about as the changes aren't that major?

Disc version came with a code to dl the game so you can play it on Hitman 2.

You can also get all the achievements/trophies again if you care about that
