yep i was trying to use fdisk (or the built in gui) ended up using parted as recommended, and now have a nice shiny 4tb (3.7tb?!??) partition go me (wanted an NTFS partition in case i ever move the disk to a windows PC) Edited by THFourteen at 22:05:06 13-02-2017 |

Registered 16 years agoYou're just jealous that you're not invited to our LAN parties where we play games.
And by games I mean Quake.
And by play I mean spend the whole evening compiling the graphics driver from sources and then by the time it works it's time for us to go home because it's a school night.
And by party I mean crying fit. -

Registered 16 years agoYeah, I tend to use gparted from a live environment before starting the install procedure because I don't trust the automatic procedure not to balls everything up.
And then I use it for a few days before linux either does something deeply irritating or refuses to do something that would actually be useful and I wipe it and swear I'm never going back to it again. -
