Against the odds, last night's first episode of four was pretty good. It's nice to see Bill Decker (murderer) still getting work.

I realise people keep going on about it a lot but any fans really need to start listening to the Athletico Mince podcast (the first 10-20 aren't great). It's Bob Mortimer at the absolute peak of his game.

Bob is just funnier doing his own stuff. Or unscripted

Athletic Mince is awesome. I was howling at Roy Hodgson on it the other day.

Ah thought Neilka’s post implies four had already been on.
    Shame on you Neil.

When Bob is on Would I Lie to You he basically owns the entire show. The Chris Rea / Egg bit some weeks back was fantastic. But nothing will beat his “part an apple in two with his bare hands” 2 or 3 years back.

And for the record Would i Lie To You is very frequently the funniest thing of the week on TV.

Gah. Didn't particularly enjoy this. Some bits made me snigger, but I don't think I'm in on the jokes enough yet, to appreciate them.

Athletico Mince is amazing though. Bob's best for me.

    @Youthist

So just to backtrack. Chris Rea had already run you a bath?

    :D

Peter Beardsley is the best thing I've heard in ages. If I could have a compilation of then all it would be perfect.

Woy Hodgeson and Wawwammer is the best thing Andy had contributed. I normally fast forward through his stuff. Sorry.

I've been trying to draw a decent Peter Beardsley for ages. I just can't do it justice.

Caught up with this on I-Player and thought it was very poo-wah indeed.
The original BNO was great because it was low budget and almost like a weird sitcom with the characters and so forth. with the big reveal of Wavy Davy being the Devil and Vic getting shot by the Man with the Stick at the end! Shocking stuff in 1991.
Novelty Island used to be my favourite because although it was very surreal and a naff talent show there was a huge amount of imagination gone into it and it was funny. It also missed the live band. Every time I hear "We Plough the Fields and Scatter" I think of Vic swinging on that rope and singing it.
This just seemed like they came on with some ideas, dragged out jokes too long and I hated the visual effects that were used.
I liked the transport song in EP4 though and Rose running off with the bloke from Allied Carpets is always a lorra fun. (no cakes and snouts though)

The latest mince had me in tears while driving home. Not good.

This week's athletico mince was probably the best Beardsley update yet.

Phil Jones Nutflix movie isn’t bad either.
