It's Sunday. I'm a little bored. Interested to see what size and type of TVs you guys. I have a Samsung QE49Q6FNATXXU. Nice upgrade from my previous 7 year old plasma from Panasonic. It's essentially the cheapest QLED TV Samsung do in their 2018 range. I could have gone a tough bigger at 55", but I'm content with the 49" I got. 4 HDMI slots, which means I can accommodate my Xbox One X, PS4, Sky Q and Wii U without faffing about with unplugging. It's my first smart TV, so I'm quite pleased I can jump straight into Netflix, Amazon prime or Google Film without having to start a console.

I'm no TV reviewer, so can't give you a scientific appraisal of this TV. Picture is great. I do feel that motion could be handled better, but I guess there is a setting somewhere that can sort out motion blur. I'm sure I'll find out someday. What have you guys got?

Got a Samsung MU6400 last year. 40" is all the layout of my front room allows. Pretty pleased with it paired with the X and a Pro. 900p games really stick out now, fired up sunset overdrive the other day, bleurgh.

One of the most useful things about the TV is voice search... super useful for all the random YouTube vids my 3 year old wants to watch (dogtanian, bananaman etc).

my 4k jobie is for the 1x, it replaced a 1080p one but i forgot about the base ps4 that was also hooked up. 1080p on 4k looks quite shit so not sue what to do with the ps4 now. :/

I have the KU6020. It's a budget set but good enough for me. Can easily spot when a game hasn't had the X/Pro treatment, I didn't think it would be that obvious tbh.

I've got a Samsung KS7000 from a few years ago. It does all the things: displays the images, does the 4K pixelation - it does all the things.

I have a 49Ē Phillips 4K TV in my bedroom. Got a Panasonic UHD player and a PS4 Pro. Films look stunning on it compared to my old HDTV. Only got five UHD discs, but I do think they are more than marginally better than 1080p Blu Ray discs.

The TV has four HDMI ports, but only two support 4K. The Pro goes in the other port. I have to admit I do not think it is that great. I have played Battlefront 2 and God of War and I do not yet see what all the fuss is about with gaming in 4K. I have Titanfall 2 to try at some point. All three games are supposed to show of the Pro in 4K. But I just do not see it.

I've got a LG B8, it's awesome. 4k Netflix is great but watching a 4k Blu-ray disc on it is incredible. Planet Earth 2 looks ace.

this is how i calibrate a new monitor:

    buy monitor
    turn it on
    navigate to eurogamer forum
adjust contrast so the posts alternate from white to grey

    perfect results every time.

Heh, the Auto Motion settings are a bit intrusive on the Samsungs.

But on a general note, I love how tvs integrate with all your media these days, what with casting, gaming, Steam app built in, google drive and all the other ways you can in interact with your media.

They have come a long way from the black and white monster I first bought :)

Got a 55" LG OLED C6. Had it since summer 2017, just after the 7 series launched and 6 series went down in price. Love it.

Amazing picture quality. Looks phenomenal with the iPlayer UHD HDR content (World Cup, Wimbledon, Blue Planet, Dynasties etc), 4K Blu-ray and the games on the XB1X.

Also, much as it's a novelty, it was the last model LG did that supports 3D. Passive 3D at that, meaning you can just use the cheap glasses you get at the cinema. I don't use the 3D often, but it's great for the movies I have on the format. Just watched the 3D version of A Christmas Carol (the Jim Carrey animated one) at the weekend with the kids and it was spectacular.

We bought a Sony 55" KD55XE7003 at the beginning of the year, it was just the cheapest one we could find for the size from JL and it had the necessary number of HDMI outlets.

I think other than changing the colour, brightness and contrast I've not touched a thing on it, it has an absurdly high number of settings that I have absolutely no clue as to their meaning, for my eyes though it looks awesome. The software is an absolute bag of shite mind.

Thank you for that video. I'll check it out on my commute home. And then try and boot my son off of my powerful TV, that he uses to play Minecraft on! 4KTV used to play crappy Minecraft. I feel like Vin Diesel in Fast and Furious, where they are in Dubai, just before jumping into that car and jumping from one tower to the next and yet another tower. "It's a crime to keep a beast like that locked up".

    Yeah, Vin would understand.

This is an SOS to my fellow Samsung TV brethren. Do any of you use bluetooth headphones on your TV for late night TV and gaming? Because my Samsung has got unacceptable lag, when playing stuff via my bluetooth headphones. (I have a pair of Sony WCH-500. Cheap but cheerful). There is no lag when watching stuff on my Huawei P20 Pro. Or on my iPad. But when watching stuff on my TV, it feels like I am watching a badly dubbed porn. Not good.

Anybody have a pair of headphones that do not have this issue they would recommend? I really want a pair of Beats by Dre. My friends reckon I should buy actually excellent headphones, rather than them. But if they eliminate the lag, I am sold!
