|Oh, also did a cheeky little update this morning to the first page to reflect the last few completions/purchases since yesterday.|
Play What You Get, Get What You Play (2019) • Page 38
my steam wallet felt the brunt of the recent steam sale.
I picked up Goragoa based on the Giant Bomb game of year podcasts. Enjoyed the style, but it was over a bit soon. I also picked up watchdogs 2 a just cause 4. Current list is....
On the go
1, Red Dead Redemption 2
2, Rise of the Tomb Raider (backlog)
3, Hitman GOTYE
4, Just Cause 4
5, Watchdogs 2
2, Donut County
3, stretch goal
4, chances are very thin
6, hahaha fuck off

Even though I finished it last week, did a Chris playthrough of Resident Evil HD on a higher difficulty
Definitely satisfying when you know the mansion layout from the first playthrough, offsets the smaller inventory a bit
Nothing new to change for the list, just nice to have properly finished both characters
Just completed the Lego Marvel campaign with my eldest. So proud.
He has no attention span for any of the cinematics sadly.

@THFourteen Are you my father?
Look into your heart. You know it to be true.
Just cleared Rime off the list. Definitely got me in the feels by the end but the actual game was 50% wonder, 30% boredom, and 20% aggravation. Piss poor puzzle platformer, so-so walking simulator.
Really glad I didn't pick it as one of my ten last year. Could've replayed Abzu and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture in the same time and would've had a much better time. Ho hum.
Down to Beat Saber and Yoku's Island Express still on the go. Both hardly played.

I best add Sniper Elite V4 to my list. Trying to gun through it (ha!) as quick as I can because I'm playing it on the 7 day PS Now trial.
If I don't finish it and my subscription expires does that count as finished? Other wise I'll end up having to buy the fucking thing.
Don't waste time reading this! Get back to finishing the game before you have to buy it!
Just cleared donut county off my backlog so updated my list above.
Had a friend over on Friday and on a whim I reinstalled Guitar Hero Live. Hadn't played it in a really long time and she'd never played the 6 button version, so it seemed a good choice for some friday night drinks. The last time I played was on a previous console so didn't have any save game ready.
We ended up playing through the entire campaign setlist on Medium, started Advanced (but it's a silly jump in difficulty) and played some quickplay stuff too. Unfortunately GHTV is shut down so there's not much else to do.
I'm considering it added and completed.
Still not sure what to do about Apex Legends. It can be added to my list but I still can't decide on a completion condition.

I'd better add Apex Legends to my list I think. Been playing it a fair bit. I'll just aim to get to level 20 though and I'll be happy to call it completed.
That's a decent idea. I'll steal that.

I'm still assuming that anything I was already playing prior to the cut off doesn't have to go on the 5. I'm trying to polish off Steamworld Dig 2 (good game).
Just finished the Messenger (including all seals).
Really enjoyed it as it was nice and challenging and had a quirky humour to it.
Banged out TACOMA from the Backlog in one sitting, mainly to stop me being stupid and buying more games when I have a busy week ahead.
I'm going to indulge a little backlog surfing with Yooka-Laylee, which came in the same Humble Bundle that I got Rime from. An hour should be enough to know if it'll drive me crazy or be a nice reminder of simpler times.
Yooka is very disappointing. Although that only really manifests in the later levels.
I feel I can confidently say that it manifests in the first 20 minutes. That fucking camera! :-D

I finished Pokemon Let's Go over the weekend (as in: story completed). The first Pokemon game I actually finished! (Pokemon Silver is the only other one I ever played). I might go back to see what the end-game is about, but for now I consider it done.
Looking at the rest of my list I kinda regret putting Dead Cells on it. While it is fun to play I don't see my finishing it. It just gets too repetitive (I knew this was a gamble). Still, I'm keeping it on the list.
So now my list is:
On the go:
1. AC Odyssey
2. Dead Cells
3. Lumines Remastered
1. Pokemon Let's Go

1) Xenoblade Chronicles Wii - still plugging away.
2) Valkyria Chronicles PS3 - completed VC4 last week so thought I might as well finally play the original.
Both are backlog games, no new purchases etc.

Credits have rolled on Pokemon: Letís Go Eevee!. Really enjoyed that. Was a bit sceptical going in owing to the new catching mechanic, but Iíll definitely be playing some post-game.
Free me up a spot, oh Phatt one!

I finished all three acts of the arcade mode. Does that count as a completion?
No. As established by Rivuzu, you need to attend at least five competitions before you can be declared finished with a fighting game. That's five with each fighter. Good luck!

Can you add Animal Crossing: New Leaf to my list. In theory this is a quadruple dip, as I've cocked 550 hours over 3 files in 5 years. It's just ther other half has started playing it again and I can't seem to help myself.
My completion goal is only going to be the credits, which is pretty meagre 30 days, but I have already extracted every drop of content out of this game already, multiple times. It's merely a stop-gap until a concrete release date is given for the new game.
Erm, 550 hours? Yeah. No. I'm not putting that on your list. WTF is wrong with you to want it on there?! Did you even read the rules?
Ugh, Captain Toad has a third episode? Thought I was nearly done.

Bought a new game, friends. Forgive me.
Neurovoider for the Switch. Looks a bit like Nuclear Throne, which I loved, and it's half price until the end of today so I had to grab it.
I'll have beating the final boss as the challenge, but if I can't I might just sack it off after a while. Played Nuclear Throne to death but never got close to beating it. Man that game was hard.
