People will say that you made your own bed so you have to lie in it. You reap what you sow and you certainly can't have your cake and eat it. Anyway, there is no use crying over spilt milk. It's true that birds of a feather have flocked together in the last few days so let's not add insult to injury by blowing up a perfect storm. I think I'm making myself clear.
You make an interesting argument. I canít say Iíve ever thought of baking in quite that way. Powerful stuff.

I still have two RPGs on my list, in Octopath and FFVII and yet Dragon Quest 11 and Ni No Kuni are now both inbound this year. And Fire Emblem. I don't think I can do it. I'm going to have to not buy on of them.

@THFourteen I can rarely manage more than 2 RPGs at once. That was more the point I was getting at. Too many to play, even though I want them.

Gato Roboto done. Pretty much in one sitting today, in an effort to clear the deck in the vain hope that something from E3 is gonna excite me. Took me four and a half hours all told, with a 94% completion. I'd gone back and explored every level and revealed all of the map so not sure how I missed things but there you go. I was going for one of rice_sandwich's fabled awards, but I've fallen short.

In places it really started to gel with me, but then a cramped screen or the sometimes shonky control system would get in the way and become exasperating. More good than bad, but still a poor ratio for the runtime. Hollow Knight this was not.

Still - great to play something that looks like how Speccy games are in my memory rather than how they actually were. I did get something of a kick out of collecting the doodads that unlock palette swaps. :)

You can add me to the list of the fallen. My local was having a sale on some switch games and I splurged on FFXII, Yoshi's Crafted World. That puts me over the limit.

    Oh well.

I might take Gato Roboto off the list then. Got plenty on there, but frustrations I do not need.

Heh I'm trying to juggle Animal Crossing, FE fates and Rune Factory 4 on the 3ds and it's quite the task.

Itís less than five hours long, and a numpty like me could beat the boss encounters, so youíd probably be ok. I think most of my issue was that I was missold this as a Metroidvania, and itís really a lot lot more linear and compact than that.

Finished Katana Zero earlier. Would have liked it to have been a little longer, but it was nice to play something that doesn't demand 40+ hours for a change.

Picked up Gato Roboto instead of, you know, jumping back into one of the other games on the list.

Revisiting Bioshock on PS4 courtesy of the Collection that was less than a tenner on a PSN sale a few weeks back.

It's an all time favourite of mine, which I haven't played for probably 9 or 10 years. It's still utterly brilliant. It took me a couple of tries to really fall for it when it came out. Playing it now, its very easy for me to see its various strengths and why I like it so much.

Anyone know if Divinity 2 Original Sin is any good?

I'm a fan of turn based games like Xcom but the RPG sections with the promotion of looting and crafting unnerves me. I've never been a fan of the infinity engine games and was put off ARPG lootfests after experiments with Torchlight 2. is it to these game as it looks.

Have to know before I take up a slot with an ill advised purchase.

So I have gone and bought an extra 12 months xbl and upgraded to gamepass ultimate. Does that now add 100 games to my list, completely destroying the five game limit?

I have downloaded straight away outer wilds which after an hour of play is excellent. Really cool concept for the game. So all 5 slots are should be being used.

I think it only counts if you download and start playing games that are free (or part of a big bundle). The rest goes in the backlog.

Is that right oh wise ones?

    Almost,

Games in the bundle are given the backlog treatment, meaning you can download and play them for a few hours - if you like it, it goes on your list. If after a few hours, you cant stand it and delete the game - it gets ignored.

Anything not downloaded is just in a pool of possible games similar to a shop shelf.

You couldíve bought VR without the games. You canít buy XBL without them. Plus: you played them all. Therefore: A LOSER IS YOU!

Question about Beat Saber (PS4): does the in-game store provide packs of songs as well as individual?

Trying to work out if its better value to purchase the game + song pack or the game solo and pick up the tracks after.

Bit of a bulk update: Steamworld Heist hasn't been added to my list het but I think I'm pretty close to the end now.

Also, please add Borderlands 2 which I'm playing through for the BL3 intro dlc.

I've also purchased slay the spire but not sure how to gauge this one in terms of completion.

I bought a PSVR with 8 games and disqualified myself. Oops. I did well for 5 months at least. You can take me off the active participants list.

What's the rules if you want to drop a game?

Skyrim been on my list for ages but I've long since uninstalled it after 10 hours or so of gametime. I found the game and its world boring devoid of character with the janky manikin combat being a particular bug bear.

    @whatfruitlivesagain

You mark it as a failure and lose a slot.
  • Deleted user 11 June 2019 12:51:10
Curses mark it a failure I blame you lot for saying its good. Its bollocks even when you play with all the mods to make the women have massive tits.

I think Skyrim is shite and I finished it.

The main plot shouldnít take that long and thereís no grinding as it all scales iirc
