I would please ask that Xenosaga Episode III be added to my list. Having completed Episode II in 2009, I think it's high time I round up the trilogy.

    @Phattso

Stellar work by you (and your indentured servant). Thanks a lot.

I don't want to sound like the kid that points out you missed a bit when cleaning but there are two games repeated in my completed list. (Rime and Timespinner).

That's because rice and I care equally about your updates in particular, and we both type them in.

Woohoo! My bro gave me Astral chain for my bday this evening! Will be starting tomorrow night so please add to my games!

My father in law (the trolling git) gave me a birthday card saying hurrah, you won't have to wait until Christmas to play death stranding...whilst at the same time making me wait to play my bday present! :')

And, just like that, Dead Cells is done. I would kindly request that it be taken off my list.

I wasn't even even expecting to manage it today, sat down for a bit of practice as I haven't played in a long while and had a very good run with excellent weapons. The final boss went down with barely a fight. \o/

Is that like a more difficult Animal Crossing in which you're literally homeless and the neighbours ignore you?

No, but I can see where youíre coming from. Itís an awkwardly written retro adventure set in the Ď80s by some Spanish people. EG was raving about it some time ago and itís right up my street.

    Performance is dire, however. :-(

Not sure how it works with this if someone buys you a game unexpectedly? But I have just been presented with Ring Fit Adventure. Not sure if this is a play until the credits roll or if I lose at least a stone type of game.

@Bichii just turned 35. If I too happy it's because I'm proper skint (childcare costs are more than my wife earns, but is temporary until he turns 3 next year and the job opportunity had to be taken back in may) and haven't been able to buy myself a game since June.

    Sorry if my enthusiasm offends...

@Saul_Iscariot I think it should be like free monthly games. Doesn't take a spot unless you install it.

    @Saul_Iscariot

A run through apparently takes about 90 days. I'd say using it a few times a week until the end of the year would suffice. On the other hand it's not really a game so maybe it doesn't count?

Heave Ho is complete! All stages and all coins unlocked. It's easier to do in coop, but it's not an easy game by any means. It starts off as clumsy fun, but does eventually become a little frustrating.

I'd still recommend it though for a party game. It'll get a lot of laughs for the first few hours!

Now to beat Dead Cells on Hard!

    Time for an update:

Started: Plague Tale Innocence (PS4), Fear Effect (PS1)

Started and finished within the space of an evening or two: R-Type Dimensions (PS4)

R-Type on a big screen looking good, I had to alter the gamma in the options though, the default was far too bright and flat looking on my screen. Dimensions allows you to switch back to the original sprite graphics at any time which leaves little to complain about, whatever your preference.

Regarding the 3D mode though, I am going to be 'that guy', it's like a piece of music you know really well and somebody is playing it slightly off. The behaviour of the force isn't quite right in various scenarios amongst various other small inconsistencies. Dimensions is still a great package overall with various modes added to aid extended play and create a challenge you can keep coming back to. Even if you aren't capable of finishing the game on one life you can play against your personal best for number of lives to clear levels or the entire game. Without reservation I'd say that currently it's the best way to experience R-Type and R-Type II and with the new 2 player mode you can even have local co-op for the first time.

If they gave R-Type Delta the same treatment, I'd buy it for a high price.

    Update 23/10/19

Playing through Horizon Zero Dawn. It's ok-to-good. I like the main plot progression and Aloy as a character but I am repelled by any hint of busy-work in open world games now. I kind of wish I was back to exploring in Breath of the Wild again.

Bought and completed Untitled Goose Game. It was my most anticipated title of the year and it didn't let me down.

Bought and completed (got to the credits of) Celeste. Thanks to everyone who recommended, I loved it but will save the extras for another day.

Bought the Shadow of the Colossus remake on PS4 to play once I'm done with Horizon.

    🏆 erniewhatbert ( 🦆 🦆 🦆 _ _ 🎯 🎯 🎯 🎯 🎯 🎯 🎯 🎯 🎯 🎯 )
🦆 Ballistic NG, Horizon Zero Dawn
🎯 Red Dead Redemption 2, Hyper Light Drifter, Bomber Crew, Red Strings Club, Subsurface Circular, Deltarune pt 1, Persona 5, Windjammers, Untitled Goose Game, Celeste.

NB I had my own challenge to not pay money for games this year and to only go through backlog and use credit from Christmas and Birthdays. That challenge failed in September with £11.99 spent on Shadow of the Colossus.

Yooka Laylee has confirmed something I have suspected previously. I am rubbish at 2D platforming.

I have all the bees but have still only got 50% through the Impossible Lair.

Just one in January :D I had about £50-60 Ninty credit, £20 PSN credit and used it sparingly among the backlog.

I've found this year's challenge easier than last year because I do well to get more than 6-8 hours of gaming done in a week now.

Had very little time to play anything recently but managed to finish off Gato Roboto and CTR. The original plan was to get 100% in the CTR Adventure Mode (or possibly 102% if thatís still a thing) but, well, getting to the credits is enough for now.
