    1: Aliens:C Marines (360) 4/10. Beat on 11/01/19
    2: Lego LotR (360) 8/10. Beat on 12/01/19
    3: Virginia (xb1) 2/10. Beat on 17/03/19
    4: Hellblade SS (xb1) 5/10. Beat on 17/04/19
    5: COD WWII campaign (xb1) 7/10. Beat 18/04/19

    6: Call of Cthulhu (xb1) 6/10. Beat 21/04/19

Even though I have only scored it 60% I did have fun with it and was invested in the game, but it is very much a budget title, although price wise it was a full fat game. It looks arse for The most part and the animations could be awful. But I did enjoy the story and atmosphere.

The snail pace completion of games this year continues albeit 3 completions over a few days.

    Onward and upward

    #19 Dark Souls 2 22/04 7/10

Fancied going back to this as it had been almost five years since I'd played it. You can tell it's the bastard son of the true souls series but there were a lot of touches I liked such as the mini soap stone, loads of titanite slab drops, diverse enough enemies but the combat is probably the worst of the souls series and the online portion of it is pretty much hollow now.

I'll try and beat that bastard Vendrick before I go on to new game plus and see if I can do some of those abyssal dungeons. It's certainly not short on content anyways.

Like the previous ones, just with a bit less combat and a few more tombs. Story was bobbins as usual but the gameplay was alright.

    #1 ASTRO BOT Rescue Mission
    #2 Resident Evil 2 (2019)
    #3 Anthem
    #4 Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!
    #5 Dead or Alive 6
    #6 Spider-Man

    #7 Tom Clancy's The Division 2

More of the same really. I seem to have lost interest as soon as the campaign ended which took around 30 hours. I fell off the first game at a similar point.

It's a good game but there doesn't seem to have enough there to keep me invested into the end game. I'd rather move on to something else.

Not much to say really, was enjoyable enough for what it was I suppose.

My PC appears to be working fine so I have been spending loads of time on Skyrim Special Edition. This is going to keep me occupied for quite a while longer as I'm trying to do all guild quests and all previous DLC main quests on top of the main story. Then other PC backlog stuff but there'll be the odd filler of console stuff here and there I guess.

@Blackmarsh63 Yes, I enjoyed it more than Sekiro. Quite a lot more, in fact. Sekiro had its moments, but I strongly disliked the loss of tactical/character options from the Souls games, the combat system which emphasised reflexes over tactics and the poor stealth mechanics (among other things).

I was glad to be shut of Sekiro by the time the credits rolled and regard it as the biggest disappointment of the year so far. Far Cry 5, on the other hand, was just a good, solid, enjoyable game.

@Rogueywon Fair enough. I did think the omission of the online stuff was a big mistake.

@Rogueywon Just out of curiosity have you gone back to any of the Souls games after Sekiro? Just wondering which one you'd rate the highest.

I'm really enjoying Sekiro but I feel the boss fights are definitely a test of endurance more so than the DS bosses. I kinda wish I could have steamrolled Owl with a great club.

Needed a palate cleanser between DS2 and Sekiro and this was an interesting diversion. Liked the design and some of the humor was good though it was a bit no foam green matcha latte with a trust fund cookie....

I've replayed all of the Souls games multiple times, other than Demon's (which I came to quite late, after Dark and Dark 2 were released). I'd rank them like this: Dark > Dark2:SotfS > Bloodborne > Dark 3 > Demon's > Sekiro.

I keep meaning to play this despite having never had an interest in Borderlands, I assume it manages to work standalone.

    #14 - 06/05 - Trails of Cold Steel (PS4)

Had this on Vita for over three years but took the plunge on the PS4 release due to them adding a "turbo mode" as it's the slowest JRPG since Final Fantasy XII where every battle takes aaaaaages! But with turbo mode, the game is a masterpiece. Took me 57 hours doing pretty much everything (and missing a couple of things frustratingly) but can see why this is regarded as a masterpiece. Would have taken well over 100 hours without the turbo though.

Was influenced by Persona and think 5 took some influence ce from this. Brilliant game.

Ends on a proper shithouse cliffhanger though to the point I think I need to start the sequel as soon as it's out in four weeks!

Now to properly get into Days Gone which I have hugely enjoyed from what I have played so far.

    And another!

Well written characters and an actually interesting plot so would recommend. Two trophies left but can't work out how to get one and the other looks to be too frustrating so think it's the right time to call it there.

Unlikely I'll start up another Vita game now and instead will do Phoenix Wright: Justice for All over remote play in bed, bosh!

Great game for the most part with brilliant crazy side stories, shame the main story has some dreadful boss battles, especially that penultimate fucker on the helipad.

#16 Batman: Return to Arkham - Arkham Asylum
I probably would never have gone back to Arkham Asylum for a long while if this wasn't on Game Pass. It's such a good debut for a series, and gets so much spot on. They really did improve on the overall games, however, and going back after three follow ups has shown where the game's weaknesses are. 9/10

#17 Ori and the Blind Forest
Played through the definitive edition so I think I'll go back to this one and clear off a few more of the challenges at a later date. Really good metroidvania style game and I'm looking forward to the sequel. I was under the impression it would already be out. 8/10

    #18 Just Cause 3
This one has taken a long time to get through, but I finally cleared the main story. I really enjoy bombing about in these games and the wingsuit was a good edition - improved further with the DLC jetpack boost. Shame about the spotty performance, a Xbox One X patch would have been a welcome update. 6/10

Trying to hammer through Sekiro at the moment. I have a day off today so I'm hoping I can get it done.

    What I liked:

    Boozer, top bloke.
Babysitting the bike. ( Want some more scrap? )
    Taking out camps with stealth/freakers.
    Some great secondary characters/villains
Some of the Horde encounters were pretty exciting

    What I didn’t like

    Deacon St JERK
Weird glitches like being unable to select weapons and having to reload.
Pop in causing me to crash my bike a few times.
The way the handle missions. Drive to camp to finish a mission. Leave camp. Receive radio report. “Deke, come back to camp”
The guitarist at Iron Mikes camp always interrupting the bucket drummer 🤬

For a studios first open world game it’s really impressive and the story was enjoyable. Hope Bend get to expand the world somehow. If you like zombie (NOT ZOMBIE) games and want one to see you through for a while than i’d RECOMMEND this.

Liberal use of save states to make it through (and stumbling across a warp pipe to skip World 5) but I've finally done this about 25 years after finishing the original SMB.
