    #1 Kirby Star Allies 05/01

#2 Animal Crossing New Leaf 31/01 - I've completed the encyclopedia, fossil exhibit and aquarium, earned all the golden tools and collected all the seasonal event items and furniture. It's a never-ending game, but I'm calling it done.

    10/10 it's fantastic!

    #5 Beyond Two Souls 16/01/19 5/10
    #6 Resident Evil Remake 27/01/19 8/10

While I loved this remake it didn't grab me the way the original did. However some things worked a lot better like certain changed locations and the relentless nature of Mr X mixed it up nicely. I wish it had the same format as the original where the B scenario was a lot different to the A scenario but I enjoyed the small changes none the less. I'd love to see Nemesis get this treatment, maybe even Code Veronica.

    01. Katamari Damacy (Switch)

First game down, one month into the challenge. I'm on target for 6! \o/

Seriously, it's a great game! The perfect thing to play after a slog at work. It's not overly long, or too difficult, but bizarre enough to entertain for the entire duration. I'm probably going to spend the next few weeks popping back to improve my scores and fill the encyclopedia of collectibles.

    And finish Octopath Traveller, obviously.

As for me still stuck at 2! Playing a few things but almost exclusively the mp sides of the games. I just can't settle, maybe today I will start something new (well old) or not.

    1 Miitopia, 3DS. 8/10.
2 Book of Demons, PC. 7/10.
    3 Planet Alpha, Xbox. 4/10.
4 Red Strings Club, PC. Great short narrative game let down by tedious mini games, 5/10.
5 Rebel Star Galaxy, PC. FFS, so 10 hours in and hit an enemy on a simple mission that almost one shots me. My save now spawns me on top of this enemy and I can't escape so die. WTF. It always used to spawn me back in safety. Not restarting. 5/10.

#1 Shadow of the Tomb Raider: 7
#2 Battletech: Flashpoint (Career Mode): 9.5
    #3 Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus: 9
    #4 Two Point Hospital: 8

Decent enough game. Nice take on the old Theme Hospital formula, with a decent modern facelift. A couple of the later regions got a bit annoying and repetitive, but still very decent overall.

After a slow start I quite enjoyed it. If Layers of Fear was a bit Poe and Lovecraft then this was a bit Gibson and Cronenberg. It did overplay the hide from the monster aspect of Outlast/Alien: Isolation/Soma et al, which grated at times as sometimes it wasn't immediately obvious which direction you had to run in and the checkpoint would reload at the exact same spot meaning sometimes I got killed 3 or 4 times on the trot because I didn't realise I had to do a 180 to the door that was previously locked.

    1. God of War (PS4) (2/1/19) (9/10)
    2: Dead Rising 3 (PC) (3/2/19) (8/10)
    2.1 Dead Rising 3 Untold Stories 1 (3/2/19) (7.5/10)

Getting PC up and running kept me off my consoles and started various ganes (a sticky trigger on my pad has made things harder though).

Anyway, started and finished main campaign of DR3 with the S ending and having killed all psychos. A bit easy bar a few bosses but enjoyed it despite being more of the same. Vehicles were fun and fit the scale well. Crafting without benches was handy too. Tried to do as many subquests as I could but failed two or three. Quite pretty on PC once framerate was unlocked.

Also been playing through Crysis which should be finished sooner rather than later.

Edit - finished first DLC story showing a perspective if a different character. Levels and skills carry over and obviously the same map but the first was an interesting look into one of your opponents perspectives.

@One_Vurfed_Gwrx I have all of the Dead Rising games across various platforms. I've tried to play through the first several times but it hasn't clicked. Am I knackering myself by trying to achieve everything I can in one run through? Is it better to just play it and survive even if not all boxes get ticked? I kind of want to give them more of a chance but an obsessive nature has me quitting and restarting if it doesn't quite work out first time around (accepting that character upgrades carry over).

@Doomspoon I haven't played through the first one too far yet, and it is generally considered the hardest of the series, but they all start hard abd get easier as you level up. 2 had the same quit and restart with old stats mechanic as the first game but 3 doesn't, however I managed the S ending on 2 in one playthrough, didn't rescue every survivor (nor in 3) but did a large amount of them. I imagine getting every survivor one would be tough (bloody jeep in the middle springs to mind).

Not having the camera makes the game focus a bit easier too in the sequels. The stories are fairly predictable so you wouldn't miss too much doing them out of order with the spoilers. My order (completed ones onlyl) so far has been 2, Case Zero, Case West, 3. Doing DLC on 3 and 1 will be next after a break and then either 2 OTR or 4.

@One_Vurfed_Gwrx I think in the first one I got about as far as the jeep in the middle and the clown guy, ran out of patience but kept meaning to go back.

The first I played was Case Zero on 360, may have been a Games With Gold freebie? The others have been in Humble Bundles on PC and PS4. I wanted to complete them in order but my frustrations with the first game in the series put me off a bit.

I'll look at revisiting them as my 52 games in 52 weeks content maybe?

Played the first 3 games and I think 3 is the most accessible and importantly most fun, definitely give it a go. I still have the dlc to run through at some point. Yet to start 4 but I might rectify that soon.

Good to see you are counting the dlc correctly ;) as in the way I preach it!!

...i'm still not happy with Bandersnatch being included by some scallies.

    1) Sky Force Anniversary 8/1 (7/10)
    2) Another World Remastered 31/1 (7/10)
    3) Subnautica 4/2 (8/10)

Fantastic game, took near 50 hours for one playthrough, and the first 20-30 were easily 10/10. Fuck me though it's got some bugs; so much texture pop in, fish appearing inside buildings, clipping out of areas forcing a reload, forcefields randomly trapping me in places...the list goes on. Worst of all though during the last area the game probably hard crashed my PS4 10-15 times before I managed to get out, very nearly gave up as just wasn't enjoying it but knew I was close to the end so persevered.

Overall enjoyed my time with it but loses two points as the technical side of things really let it down.

    1) Devil May Cry
    2) Devil May Cry 2
    3) Wargroove
    4) Unruly Heroes

Will be finishing Resident Evil 2 today or tomorrow I think and I am towards the end of tales of Vesperia.

@Graxlar_v3 good man! I am in front of the final boss on Vesperia myself, might have a look at the bonus dungeon but nearly 55 hours in think I may be done after this. Love me an epic JRPG!

    2: Dead Rising 3 (PC) (3/2/19) (8/10)
    2.1 Dead Rising 3 Untold Stories 1 (3/2/19) (7.5/10)
    3.1 Overcooked 2 CNY DLC (5/2/19) (8/10)

Now to annoy Duffman5 with my awkward counting ;). DLC came out today and rest of game was finished last year so it is getting a number but any more OC2 DLC this year is going in entry 3 too ;). DLC was fun if a bit easy in 2 player co-op with the wife. 3 starred everything which is main goal with 4 as a bonus achievement ;). I will be starting Walking Dead Final Season ep 3 and 4 as their own number despite eps 1 and 2 being last year too. Seems fairest way to me and I never get past 30's anyway... Need to finish off DR3 DLC and Crysis and play a few short games next as well as finish off some of my longer games...

    #1 - 02/01 - Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon (PS4) Platinum
    #2 - 04/01 - Far Cry 5 (PS4)
    #3 - 05/01 - Blackwood Crossing (PS4) Platinum
    #4 - 05/01 - Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight (PS4) Platinum

A good 55 hour beast completed tonight, what a game.

Next up, continue Resi 2 (although too scared), put some proper time into Wandersong but very likely start Gravity Rush 2 tomorrow night, finally.

You are misselling the great original there by not titling it by the new version's name, Underworld Ascendant and giving it 1/10. The original is one of my all time favourites abd I unfortunately also backed UA but haven't dared play it yet after all of the feedback...
