Apparently tomorrow’s stage has been drastically shortened due to landslides and weather issues from 125km to 59km.

Hope there’ll still be time to affect the leaders and the whole Tour doesn’t fizzle out

Skipping the middle two climbs, but at least finishing in Val Thorens.

Week that's bound to be a mental stage then. 59k and one big ass 33k climb.

Wow, some really disappointing performances from Ineos riders this year.

Had Thomas and Bernal for podium at the bookies, but also hoped for Pinot to make it too.

Shame these last two stages were altered so much, which have changed strategies, but seeing the snow & landslide was the sensible decision.

Heh. I really recommend the podcast he's been doing with Matt Stephens. The past week of 'micro' podcasts (~10mins) summing up each stage has had me in stitches.

No doubt Thomas wanted to win, but I'm also guessing he won't miss all the other press shite that comes along with winning.

I missed the Classica on Saturday but then I started seeing some headlines about Remco's impressive win, so I watched it on Sunday.

    19 years old.
First World Tour one day race participation.
    Youngest rider in the peleton.
All over the press earlier this week because he broke up with his girlfriend and moved to Monacco for his career.

We're in for some interesting years with the likes of Evenepoel, Van Aert, Van der Poel, Bernal ... comping up and older guys like Valverde, Gilbert on their way out.

    Sad news. :-(

First notice I saw yesterday shortly after it happened was crashed and airlifted. Later updates in the evening was that he couldn't be airlifted due to the injuries and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

And add the European TT title now. I can't wait to see what this guy gets up to later, incredible first year.

At least last year the European bits were being televised when they were held in Glasgow :/ Nothing on the BBC, as far as I can see?

Why would they do that when they can show live snooker from Ipswich or the under 12’s Curling qualifiers?

    The podium picture is funny.
    He really is a fly-weight isn't he?
