Serious answer: Vancouver is obviously the only good city in Canada and the cost of living reflects that. I'm a bit puzzled as to why you'd move here to get a taste of living in the US though Edited by fontgeeksogood at 19:31:37 24-01-2019 |

Registered 3 years agoThe weather here is much like the UK, doesn't get hot or cold but rains a lot.
Tronno gets super cold and very hot seasonally because it's close to user Dirtbox's shithole home town Cleveland -

Registered 12 years agoWhat's wrong with Quebec? Most of the Quebec-ese I've met have been okay. Well, a couple were a little weird. -

Registered 13 years agoFWIW, I visited Canada last year and went to both Toronto and Vancouver. I'd agree, overall, that Vancouver is the nicer place to live, but that's because I'm an old fart and the bustling Toronto gave me fatigue. I'd say if you're under 30, and have a chance to live or study in Canada, go to Toronto.
As for Vancouver, I love nature walks and Stanley Park is hands down the best national Park I've ever been to. If I lived there I would honestly go every weekend. -

Registered 3 years agoWell, Vancouver is the least affordable housing in North America. Young people can't afford to live here.
It's brilliant -

Don't want to live in the city itself though as that would mean apartments (they're called 'condos' over there eh?). A modest house with small garden and 2-3 bedrooms in a pleasant area would be great. Not sure how achieveable that is, and we don't know yet what kind of incomes we can expect. Early days. -

Registered 3 years agoWell, that's the rub. When you take into consideration "affordability", Vancouver real estate is second worst worldwide after Hong Kong -

It's -23 Celsius in Winnipeg right now. I spent a few weeks living near Tronno one winter as a kid and I remember my eyelids freezing shut as I blinked sleepily waiting for a bus.
Fuck
That
Shit
