Growing up I had a cat called Stoofer, which we used to shorten to Stoof. Among other nicknames he was also sometimes known as El Capitan, as he was a big old unit. One day it became El Stoof and that just stuck for some reason, around the time I needed a handle for email address, website logins etc
I assumed it was a cockneyified version of hell's tooth.

I think we need a thread letting us know who has quit and what name they have come back on with, or sock (if we know of course) some are very easy to work out but others, I'm not so sure.

Yeah I'm not saying you have a cockney accent. If you did, you'd write elstoof as hell's tooth because you'd pronounce hell's tooth as elstoof. Or something.

I used to play Orks in 40K, when they go on a Waaaagh it means it's all about to kick off, and the bigger the better. I haven't played for years but I still love the lore and I play the related video games, although you have to do a bit of work separating the wheat from the chaff these days.

For a long time I assumed TH was Tottenham Hotspur, as you post loads of negative stuff about Arsenal in the PL thread.
Heh. Not the first time thats been suggested.

I needed a name so, probably should have put more effort into it.

Oh and then I rebooted 3 times .

My initials. I was really struck by inspiration the day I registered.

I kinda wish I'd done it in lowercase as it's more pleasing to the eye. Ho hum.

It's the name of my first pet combined with my mother's maiden name.

I actually registered ages ago with my gamertag but forgot the login so this was a spin on it.

I created a character on City of Heroes called Trafford Avenger as I had fantasies of being a vigilante.
I registered on here as that name but emo quit, returning shortly after with this current username.

NB, I no longer live in Trafford so can look a wheelie bin or council building in the face without feeling odd.

Mine is inspired by the japanese dish Tonkatsu. Not by the toy trucks, contrary to popular belief. I didn't even know that there was a toy company called Tonka when I created the username.

(I also disprove of calling them user ID's and I still miss the snobbery of knowing the actual ID)

If you've got one it just fades into the background of everything else that is awesome in your life.
