    Yeah, it's disgusting. The subtext is very much that white British working-class people are all racist.

    Yeah, I'm sure if we'd hard-exited the EU by now, loads of globally based companies would be flocking to set shop in our tiny isolationist island.

    I'd love to blame it on Brexit as much as the next person but Germany is the centre of car manufacturing in Europe so it seems like a fairly obvious choice.

    @You-can-call-me-kal

    The point made a little earlier regarding Islam and how long the Islamophobia has been mainstream.

    Just that Malcolm was saying so back in the day, in the 60s.

    I'm sorry I should've been a little clearer.

    @TheSaint

    Yeah but I think if the UK was still going to be in the EU, there would be a chance the UK would of be considered for a new factory as it has workforce (before brexit killed a lot of the car factorys already)

    I saw some gammon comments on bbc have your shit saying "brexit has not happened yet!!!" but they really don't understand how companies are not looking to invest in the UK since the 2016 vote

    The language made the UK the preferred base though, with easy access to the single market. No longer.

    I feel like the tone of the racism felt by the Nation is a little different to the one felt post-9/11 by Muslims who looks like they're from the Middle East.

    Corbyn said that Labour would argue for "tarriff-free trade access" instead. However, other countries which enjoy this kind of deal, such as Norway, do so by accepting the “four freedoms” of the single market, which include freedom of movement for people.
    Corbyn has not got a fucking clue, there is no way the Uk can get tarriff-free trade access without freedom of movement for people (which corbyn hates). I don't see how if you want to remain but still voting for this old cunt.

    Corbyn used language we have rarely heard from him - blaming immigration for harming the lives of British workers.
    sounds like a tory

    Also it turns out it was Brexit was the reason Tesla selected germany for production

    The Tesla chief executive, Elon Musk, has said Brexit uncertainty played a role in the firm’s decision to build its first European factory in Germany rather than the UK.

    Musk said: “Brexit [uncertainty] made it too risky to put a Gigafactory in the UK.”
    https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2019/nov/13/tesla-cites-brexit-as-germany-chosen-over-uk-for-european-plant-elon-musk

    Even if we left in 2016/7 companies will want a country with easy access to EU market

    What about EU citizens already in the UK that might want to change jobs? They're going to be discriminated against surely. But I'm sure he has it all thought through (or alternatively, and probably more likely, doesn't give a fuck - if they can't find work they'd eventually have to leave the country i.e. win/win amirite).

    In Labour's defence Conference voted in September to be a lot more pro-immigration and free movement despite the leaderships lobbying against it so the new manifesto will at least say they support European migration.

    Of course the way the party is these days there's no guarantee that the leadership will stick to that, especially when it comes to the magical all good no compromise Brexit deal (which they won't commit to supporting)

    I guess it's all fine and dandy to let people in freely but when they at the same time implement underhanded "British first" rules for jobs and accomodation -- like that plan, not sure if it's implemented or not, to put emphasis on landlords to check whether someone is 'legal' - they'll just not bother with anyone with a 'funny' accent or 'tinge' regardless of what the law says) -- then it'll have the same effect ultimately.

    I'm sure though the EU will keep a close eye on the situation when it comes to the future relationship negotiations.

    Farage was positively retweeting and praising Corbz foreigners hurt Brits patter at the time. Not a great sign.

    I honestly don't know why EU citizens like myself are being thrown under the bus and treated like second class citizens. A lot of us have been here for a very long time and have contributed to the economy massively.
    How about you look closer to home where families are having 4-5 kids and on benefits. And why are they on benefits? Haven't all the low skilled EU people buggered off back to their country like you wanted? Get yourself a job.
